Is it just me or does Linus look like he just got done eating a sloppy bowl of pasta before filming this?

Can confirm both are good. I've had both 1080s and a 1660 Ti. Neither is gonna have any issues pushing 1080p. The 1660 Ti is newer and draws a bit less power, the 1080 is a bit faster but at 1080p I don't think it matters much. I sold the 1080s to a friend who has reported 0 issues with 'em to this day, sold the 1660 Ti to another who's since traded it away because he wanted something beefier for 1440p144 + VR gaming, he had no issues with it otherwise.

You've already got both cards in-hand, take them both for a spin and see which one plays his games better.

They'll both probably be fine, but I'd put the 1660ti into that build. It's marginally newer so it should get driver support a little bit longer.

Are you absolutely sure its a 3070Ti? It has the same boost clock speed as the TUF 3060Ti. If GPU-Z is reporting it as a 3060Ti, you might be mistaken. Maybe take a picture of it or the serial number or something and look that up.

Fractal's pop Silent cases have the ODD bays at the bottom

Obviously the silent series is going to be more restricted on airflow than the Air variant, But I think Fractal is one of the only manufacturers in the last calendar year still producing new cases with ODD bay areas.

At least with the 7XL you can actually remove it to expose the 5.25" bays and the fan filters. I can remember if the same goes for the smaller ones:

Disregard the glass panel, was just the first google image I found showing the front of the case with the door open.

Define R6 as well, has the CD slot, closed front, solid side panel, and mesh top (or closed, with cover).

No, just model trains. Even though his profile says no returns it appears he has accepted a return this time? So I guess this card will just be going back. To be honest, still not convinced $180 for a working 2080Ti was even that amazing of a deal?

To wrap this thread up, I re-terminated each end, and that has fixed the issue. Makes sense now after looking at how the old plugs were on, they had the wires in the wrong order.

I believe it's telling me the ends are all there, but I will re-crimp it tomorrow. I have already crimped other cables around the house that had no ends on them and are using the same CAT5E and I am getting full gigabit on those connections, so my guess is the ends here are bad.

1050Ti can do up to 5 encoding sessions at once, and supports H264, H265 and HEVC. Those should be pretty cheap these days and don't need external power.

Theguywhobea got a reaction from SorryBella in NAS and mediaserver! Where do I start? (mostly software/setup)
I recently started using Unraid and I see why so many people like it. I would recommend giving it a shot. Since the default setup is JBOD you can always add another drive whenever you want. It's really easy to add a parity drive, and a cache drive. VM and app management has been really good as well.

I had previously been using Xpenology for a few years and Unraid is miles better IMO.
