Hello good people of the LTT forums... I have something to run by the members here who might be better informed than me. See i have this old MSI gs60 laptop with the i7-6700hq
the thing that has me stumped thou is that ive used this laptop pretty much everyday since i got it, still chugging along cause i cant afford a new system yet... the best stable underclock i could get when it was new was -150mV, been using it forever, then i recently replaced the cmos battery cause it was not holding my bois settings, now when i went to set back my undervolt i tried -160 and it was stable then i pushed it to 180 it crashed but im now stable at -170mV and even under combined cpu and gpu load.
What could have caused it to get a better undervolt than it got when it was new...wouldnt it be more likely to degrade?
