im not sure the temp would affect undervolt? more likely to affect the clock speed right? eithert way though the temps are pretty much the same under load in fact at -170 i think its a little warmer now due to the degrading of my laptop fans if i dont undervolt it it will thermal throttle under load where as before if i left it at stock voltage it never used to do that brand new

Hello good people of the LTT forums... I have something to run by the members here who might be better informed than me. See i have this old MSI gs60 laptop with the i7-6700hq the thing that has me stumped thou is that ive used this laptop pretty much everyday since i got it, still chugging along cause i cant afford a new system yet... the best stable underclock i could get when it was new was -150mV, been using it forever, then i recently replaced the cmos battery cause it was not holding my bois settings, now when i went to set back my undervolt i tried -160 and it was stable then i pushed it to 180 it crashed but im now stable at -170mV and even under combined cpu and gpu load. What could have caused it to get a better undervolt than it got when it was new...wouldnt it be more likely to degrade?

hi LMG this is darren hailing from jamaica I have always wanted a gaming pc but parts are rare n super expensive here due to bad economy. i've considered buying abroad and inporting but after my first experience customs duties are way too high on PC part to justify continuing that way. so i guess getting a small neatly packed system like the zbox would be the best eay to go.... so i could run crysis..... and my girlfriend would love me again :lol: i am running on a laptop right now its the msi gs60 2pc with 12gb ram a i7-4700hq and the gtx860m (2gb gddr5 Kepler) and a dedicated desktop rig would be greatly appreciated. awsum giveaway, it rocks that LMG is still looking out for their fans and cudos to zotac for sponsoring this giveaway, we need more gaming companies with your outlook on marketing and looking out for ur customers. many thanks
