  1. I have this 'remote' cooling stack which is an old PSU running 2x D5s and many fans. I have Koolance quick disconnects at basically every waterblock across both computers on this loop (2x GPU, 2x CPU, sometimes a RAM block). I also have the same 2x D5 pump block on my gaming PC across the room. The pumps all run at 100%. It won't hurt the pumps. I have a pressure release valve on my reservoir in case of gas pressure since there are so many failure points on this loop. Oh, and to solve the PC being removed from the external loop simplify it by just using quick disconnects and buying one more set create a return line from the outlet on the PC right back to the inlet.
  2. Estimated delivery Thursday, October 27 by 7:00 P.M I got the email about the wave two delay.
  3. My fiance picked this up before the end of the warm up and was doing pretty well after just a few minutes.
  4. I've hardly touched my gaming rig since I got this setup: Nreal Air with the Steam Deck. I don't need these any more ... We can just get rid of all of this ... Just yeet this garbage.
  5. I've read there is a power limit bug when these exit sleep state that completely removes the power limit after waking up but I've had no luck with editing the memory directly for such an effect. This thread talks of a 15w power limit but I haven't got any of it to work. Maybe later revision chips or bios tweaks resolved it? https://techtablets.com/forum/topic/good-news-found-a-way-to-increase-tdp-limit-on-ezbook-3-pro-maybe-any-n3450/
  6. Yep! Or increase memory frequencies. Anything to eek more out of this thing.
  7. I have a laptop with the above process and Aptio/American Megatrends bios vers. 2.18.1263. The power limit seems to be stuck at 10w regardless of bios settings I've blindly ham-fisted into it. It will boost forever now that I've disabled every thermal protection and C-State buuuut I've lost the ability to shut it down. I'd love for any advice. The device is a Maestro Evolve III v2 laptop; the $60 one from Micro Center.
  8. My $60 modified laptop from Micro Center just got 826 @ 10w of power. Not a flex, just amazing to think about.
  9. I got 826 points! 5 minutes in it was still at 2100mhz! The first stock run was 518 points (+59.5%!!!)
  10. I think I'll actually move it over to Windows 11 once I get the dual boot working since, in my experience, it's better with lower power hardware.
  11. The plan is to partition the internall eMMC storage with GRUB and a linux install with the SSD reserved for Windows. Others have this dual booting so that is the next thing to try. Oh yeah, it charges at 12v @ 2A so its very nice for projects in place of a raspberry pi. I'm using it for software defined radio since it's so light and has USB ports for my RTL SDR setup. Those don't need much CPU.
  12. I just got one of these: https://www.microcenter.com/product/646649/evolve-iii-maestro-e-book-116-laptop-computer-dark-grey The CPU can be unlocked from 6w up to about 15w. I repasted mine with Kryonaut Extreme and some thermal pads on the hot parts under the heat spreader and can get 10w and 518 points in Cinebench r23. There is zero active cooling on this thing but it does have an LTE modem. You can easily replace that with a cheap SSD. This 256gb was $23 and will fit with some double sided tape or something else to hold it down. CPU Settings (delete gets you in the bios): The bottom snaps on with a few screws. Here the cell modem and battery are removed. I wasn't sure where the SIM ribbon ran. I previously removed the heat spreader. There was a .5mm thermal pad on the CPU and nothing on the memory or power hardware. I put some Kryonaut Extreme on the CPU and some 1mm thermal pads on the RAM and hot bits. The SSD installed and held down with electrical tape. Battery reinstalled. Yay! Pro-tip!! Leave the screen protector on. The display looks waaaaay better with the shiny plastic. Cut the tab off with a razor blade and press it flush.
