  1. Currently running with a 2080super with a 1440p monitor, so it runs everything decently just feeling the itch to upgrade and run everything at ultra settings. 1st world problems, i know.. although i don't want to make a purchase with out a ton of research and practical thinking (as performance goes). I keep hearing and seeing articles about the new 40 series melting but that seems to be improper connections, so I'm not tooo worried about that. Was tinkering around on https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/ with my Current pc build and what the upgrade would look like. but at the end of the day I'm just looking at numbers and not the real deal.. Trying to find some feedback from those who did upgrade from and old GPU to this 4070ti or those with a lot of knowledge that can say yay or nay! Originally i was going to wait on the 4080 or 4080s but seeing how that release of that got all jacked up I'm at a lost. But at the end of the day if I'm not comfortable with everything i might just keep what I got now. 2080s runs just fine
  2. Iv always wondered if i can get my smart tv (samsung) to access my PC files with the tv remote and play the movies i have on my pc Via the local network. im aware i can just run an HDMI cord and click on my pc to start and stop the movie. what id like is full control of the all the movie files and be able to play pause and what not right from the TV. can someone smarter then me tell him if thats possible, weather it be with software or do i need additional hardware or other devices to make this possible
  3. it seems like some are stand alone VR headsets and or use a console to power them, if im not mistaken. na i updated my build, lol def not using that old setup
  4. I havent kept up with the VR tech and trying to do research i keep questioning every decision. HTC vive or Valve index.. then you see the $1k price tag I want to make sure im getting the best bang for my bucket and one thatll last for a while. and friendly tips to point me in the right direction for VR headsets thatll suit me best. Ill mainly use this with my PC so no playstation VR, etc

  6. @brobGigabyte Z690 GAMING X DDR4
  7. @brob i did have to install "https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/19512/intel-rapid-storage-technology-driver-installation-software-with-intel-optane-memory-10th-and-11th-gen-platforms.html" drivers prior just so i could install windows onto my windows nvme
  8. My Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Zabzky/saved/Vzz899 Storage config: Boot drive: Samsung Evo 980 pro Storage: (1)Samsung 870 Evo 2 TB (2)Seagate Barracuda Compute 4 TB (set in RAID 1) I setup my build with only my Samsung Evo 980 plugged in, after updating windows and all drivers I plugged in my 3 drives. booted into Bios, saw all 3 drives. booted into windows to also make sure i could see them in disk manager. I did. I then reboot to Bios and followed this link to enable RAID 1 on my 2 HDD "https://www.gigabyte.com/WebPage/818/raid-1b.html" After creating my Raid 1 Volume, rebooting to bios i noticed all drives were not seen. booted windows went to disk manager and windows still didnt see them. I think when i enable "VMD Controller" i am no longer able to see my storage drives... iv been going at this for hours. trying to update drivers again seeing if that does the trick. deleted my raid volume and resetting everything with no luck... Can someone please inform me where im messing up..

  10. After 4ish years iv decided to upgrade from my old PC, but im reusing my GPU, RAM, and old m.2 3rd.gen nvme bootdrive. This is my New build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pQ27Dc I wanted to have some some very quick storage for various games, etc. Then some decent storage in Raid 1 for pictures, documents, etc. I didnt necessarily need 2 m.2 1TB but.. why the hell not. Not really sure which one to use as a bootdrive. Thinking in the sense thatd ill be able to have more games on a faster drive. Overall im really just trying to get some feedback on what iv put together so far and some pointers. Thanks guys
  11. @rickeo I plan on using "Intel Core i5-12600K" with "Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler" i just ordered https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Accessories-|-Parts/PC-Components/Cooling/LGA1700-Retrofit-Kit/p/CW-8960091 the lga1700 retro fit, hope it does the trick
  12. @brob I was thinking about making the 250 a boot drive, but i realize i should spend the extra and get the 1TB. thanks also, does one really need a usb-c on the front port? i cant think of a time i ever needed one or would. maybe its my lack of experience
  13. When building my upgraded PC im seeing this caution ":The Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the Gigabyte Z690 GAMING X DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard" What "separate mounting adapter" do it need?? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jxznkX
  14. I am using "Gigabyte Z690 GAMING X DDR4" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09J5TC4F8?tag=pcpapi-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1 for an extra 20 bones
  15. I am in the process of building my next PC upgrade. I remember hearing that if you use more then one(1) m.2 slot on the motherboard you then can not use certain sata ports. correct me if im wrong but i cant seem to find the info to back that statement up, i just hope im wrong. In my build im using a 250gb m.2 as a boot and 1TB m.2 for fast storage, then a 2.5TB SSD for fast storage then two(2) 2TB HDD in raid 1 for documents, etc.. here is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jxznkX (i am using parts from my current rig)
