I completly agree the Asus MG279Q had several dead pixel issues me being one of those who recieved a bad one and the PG278Q is still having issues to this day one of those being a Power supply defect. Also I tried Ultrawide and dont like it so I will be sticking to the XB270HU.

When it goes under the finger nail that is the worst I did the same thing when I built this PC some water cooling fittings can be vicious aswell on the threads mostly.

What do you guys think about me doing some benchmarks and then starting a new thread called Project Yellow Panther vs Benchmarks or something like that? I have received a few requests of interest in performance of this build so just seeing how many people would be interested.

Parts are now officially on there way so I can finish this build

I have still got a little work to do but I need to wait for the parts so I can plan radiator positions.

The back board will be either painted or carbon wrapped.

and the bottom radiator stands are just placed there at the moment I haven't yet fixed them they will probably be positioned flat but I need to play around with it to get them to a suitable airflow position.

I have had to go with 4 x 360mm rads as the 480's would have been a tight fit and I know you might think the front usb 3.0 are in a odd place because they will probably be behind the monitor but there's actually a little cable hole in the base of my monitor which lines up quite well and I plan on upgrading to an ultra wide (I hope the stand lines up with the usb's like my current display ) which will fill most the width of the bottom part of the cabinet

The hard drives have changed for this build as well instead of going with 2 WD blacks and a Toshiba Intenso I changed to just two 4tb WD blue SSHD drives

(little tip that I learnt the WD black drives are actually worse than the blue drives in terms of speed and I don't mean the blue sshd versions I mean the stardard WD blue drives.  )

All problems seem to be fixed now with the new motherboard keep in mind this is without glass in still but I think I might test it with glass in again I might just leave the lid off when using the PC but with the 5960X at 4ghz 1.18v Idle temps at the moment are around the 20-23C mark and at full load they dont exceed 50C with I consider a acceptable load temperature the GPU coil whine issue is fixed and the CPU is scoring 1567cb on cinebench R15 just thought I would put a little update up for the build log guys

I think only the entries selected by Linus are good. The ones selected by Lewis and Javoha  are so dull and boring. There are many entries who really deserved.
They should have given proper instructions. Only Linus was the one who made a detailed video of what had to be done. So most of us assumed that the 30 sec video limit and creativity thing is valid for the Lewis and Javoha also.

I am not writing this because I lost but after watching such long and boring videos getting selected, I think it's unfair for the rest who  worked so hard for their videos to be good and within the time limit and lastly in the application page also it was mentioned that all the entries must show there current setup and some of the videos in selected list did not.

I am sorry if i offended anyone with this post (and my english) and Congrats to all the winners!

Linus you really did a great job.

I enjoy making entries for these competitions whether it's a winning entry or not at least I gained a new video editing skill either way thanks Linus for the competition.

PC is back up a running after a motherboard replacement I cant remember if I mentioned the motherboard was faulty it kept saying overclock failed even when settings were stock it turns out my motherboard was putting a crap load of voltage through my ram, gpu's and cpu you may have seen my other post on GPU's screaming like crazy looks like I found the reason lol just worried if it damaged anything.

In terms of voltage it was putting 1.7v through my ram which is DDR4 normally 1.2v I believe feel free to correct me if I'm wrong either that or 1.35v I cant remember (The ram burned to touch)

It was putting a horrifying 1.47v through my CPU answers why my temps were a bit off considering my cooling solution

And in terms of GPU's I'm not sure if it was increased voltage or a lack of power coming through the PCI-e slot but they are now fixed so no more whine yippee.

it would be impossible to get minus temps with fans and rads unless you went to the artic but even then the PC would die instantly in that environment can't believe people thought he was being serious lol

Of course, an Overclocked TitanX should catch up. But normal TitanX´s cant reach the speed of custom 980Ti´s. But no Question TitanX is still a super fast Card, but if you dont need 12GB VRAM a 980Ti would be the better choice.

My GTX580 was a stupid card it would idle at 40C on watercooling I thought it would be and upgrade over my GTX560 that didn't have waterblock support how wrong was I lol my GTX560 died as well it didn't like being stressed out even at stock the slightest bit of 3d acceleration and it would crash windows. no company is perfect it's the same with Asus and Acer with monitor they both have shockingly bad QC problems

What's the point  in being a fanboy over any company like what do they give in return they don't exactly come round your house for a cup of tea that would just be weird, AMD and intel would die without each other same for AMD and Nvidia competition is what keeps a company alive, I buy hardware on what provides me with the performance I need, I have had problems with AMD in the past mostly heat issues with my 6950 which ended up killing the card but I have had problems with Nvidia as well my GTX580 started making the screen flicker pink and floors would be missing from games etc. I have AMD in my media PC it sits nicely next to the TV and makes hardly any noise but I have bought third party coolers for it, my intel workstation/gaming rig on the other hand is giving me all sorts of problems at the moment (First time SLI setup and it's not going well) Get what works for you sound like AMD might be upping their game with CPU's next year I am interested to see how it goes.

Loving the Red fans by the way and I'm interested in why you went 970 SLI over a single 980ti wouldn't that have provided better performance across the board in games and also less heat in the system to exhaust meaning better overclocks due to cooler air?

I have 4 Samsung 850 Evo's in Raid 0 for games and a Samsung M.2 256gb I can't remember the model for boot drive. Yeah the LED's are quite faint in the centre of the PC in person and the cpu block glow is the MSI Xpower logo lighting up I might end up doing some modifications to the lid to get more air into the PC those numbers don't seem that great to me at all. 56C on 100% load isn't so bad though.

Checked idle temps again last night without doing anything to the system temps were 22C on all cores accept core 1 was 28C I think those are more respectable temps
