  1. The GTX 760 is a great choice, as it has similar performance to the 660ti, but is cheaper.
  2. Its hard to go wrong with the h100i, h220, or kraken x60. This might help you out:
  3. I was wondering about that as well...
  4. If he has the budget, get an i5 4670k and an h80i, or even a h100i. They will both fit in the case, and will cool the CPU quite well.
  5. Looks good, but if your friend can save up for the build some more, I would probably suggest going for an i5 4670k and maybe a 770, but the 760 is a great card.
  6. Looks great! I'm looking forward to the finished build!
  7. Yeah, that would be nice. Also, now you've got me thinking about backup solutions. I might start spending more on them, as if you lose critical data, a redundant backup solution would be cheaper.
  8. Yeah, I was saying based off of Linus' build with the i7. The 760s would probably perform better, but you have to rely on SLI optimization in games, and there is the increased power and heat output. That's why I tend to suggest a high powered single GPU solution. However, if you can deal with those factors, keep with your 760s.
  9. Yes, probably thousands of dollars. However, if your data is worth that much, the option is there.
  10. I would say go for the GTX 780, go for the 840 non pro, and probably go for a Seasonic G series 550w PSU. Also, check out this build, but replace the i7 with an i5:
  11. I would say sell your 560, and get the GTX 780. It will be able to push a lot of fps on large monitor setups and will consume less power and have less heat output than a SLI or Crossfire setup.
  12. I was looking at the more expensive one, and that's probably the one I would go for.
  13. Welcome to the forum! The after parties are awesome! :D
  14. Yeah, I also went for an i7 3770k. However, I actually haven't played a single game on it, so it makes sense for me for video and photo editing. For purely gaming, I agree that an i5 3570k or 4670k are usually the best choice.
  15. Looks great! I don't think I would change anything, other than for a larger budget, get a ssd.
  16. Great review! I think it is definitely an option that most people will just overlook, but it is a great product.
  17. Yeah, I was wondering if that was the case. Now I know.
  18. Many GPUs also come with a molex to 8 pin adapter, which would probably work best for you. Make sure whatever manufacturer's card you get comes with one.
  19. There are a lot of variables that would be hard to calculate. Also, it really depends on the buyer and what they are looking for/ willing to pay for. It is a cool idea, but I think it would be impractical, and may not be accurate.
  20. I would say get a ssd, as the clicking noise most likely means your drive is failing. Then, maybe upgrade your GPU/PSU.
