Gaming go for 7700k.

Dabasepc got a reaction from Stealthster in Is this temp right? 5820k
you're below 50.
66.8 is the Case Temperature / the maximum temperature allowed at the processor Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS).

Dabasepc got a reaction from Stealthster in Is this temp right? 5820k
Not really. you're temps are really low. How long did the test lasted?
Tip; stress test with AIDA64 also.
You got headroom for overclocking. You can push 3,6 Ghz turbo to 4 Ghz all core easily with not too much increased voltage.

Dabasepc got a reaction from HPWebcamAble in Many cored high ghz AMD cpu or a lower to mid range Intel i7 cpu
The i7 has hyper-threading and is better for multitasking in general.
If you can afford it, go with intel i7.
4790k haswell or 6700k skylake are very good cpu.
I myself have the 4790k overclocked to 4,7ghz with NH-D15 air cooler and I'm very happy with the performance.

Dabasepc got a reaction from TubsAlwaysWins in Socket Questions
There are some of them that can take them as long as they are the PGA988 G1/G2 sockets but as to which they will or wont is hard to say as it depends on the OEMs choice of CPUs. What they offer for each laptop model is normally what they will support.
