  1. oh wow. I guess i have been riding a blissfull ignorance train for so long in that any game i wanted to play ran good enough that i didnt notice pains until now.... seems i should start tracking my possible performances more dilligently again. Will try the video fixes and report back just FYI.
  2. I mean, that sounds cooland all, but seems the trend here is that it is the game and not somthing i can fix.... which then leads me to i guess start thinking if its time to start looking into upgrading.... but thats a tale for a different day.
  3. not sure if i tried turning it off, i just went through the presets for Low,Medium,High etc and when playing found anything above Low to be below 60, which is not ok. #firstworldproblems i know but dang.
  4. Speaking words of aliens to me here bud haha. Well it would really suck if it affected it so much that i cant play on medium and get more than 60fps..... did not think again that my CPU, while a few gens old, would become so useless so quickly.
  5. definitely checked temps and those are all good, no weird background processes either.
  6. So i think i still have a pretty decent setup, however i am getting pretty bad framerates all things considered in Borderlands 3.... Current setup: - i7 6700K - Asus Z170 pro gaming - MSI GTX1080 seahawk - Corsair 32GB RAM - all Samsung SSD storage - all custom loop watercooled I am running an Acer X34a as my primary monitor (344x1440). However since starting up Bordelands 3 i have noticed for the first time i cant max it out... not even close. I have had to keep pushing the details lower and lower to a stage that i am now running the game on LOW at 3440x1440 and not managing much more than 70fps (with dips getting pretty low sometimes). Do i blame this on the resolution, could something possibly be wrong, or are games just at a stage where a last Gen high end card cant even run above Low anymore on a new game?
  7. And my question back was whether the amd driver will be "running" if the core is unplugged?
  8. So would that mean if the core (and thus the AMD gpu) are unplugged, that the nvidia drivers wont run due to the amd drivers being on the system, or are you saying that the amd drivers will be present but not "running" while the core is unplugged?
  9. So even hot swapping (plug and play functionality of the core) would not mess/freeze it up? As this would not just switch the gpu but also have to switch the active display drivers?
  10. Hi All, So my mind is toying with the idea of a Razer Blade (new non stealth model) with the Razer Core. I am wondering what the impact would be of using an AMD card in the core, as this would mean having mixed gpu drivers installed on the laptop due to the built in Nvidia gpu needing Nvidia drivers, and then the AMD drivers being needed for when the core is plugged in. Im just curious as we are approaching some new and exciting AMD tech, and by end of the year i might be updating my entire setup to a supremely sleek laptop for the more mobile gaming, with some serious power when sat at my desk and monitor. (this is hypothetical at this stage as of course the newest blade is not out yet, and not a question of whether the money can be better spent) Thanks for your thoughts.
  11. 2016 election, now affecting a search engine near you. How voting times have changed.
  12. Nice! Are you planning on still painting the box? (or keep it wood natural) Also, not that it would matter too much seeing as the acrylic is lifter off the box on the edges, but do those small fan exhaust holes not limit the exhaust heavily?
  13. Would love the New Blade. I currently have an out of date gaming laptop, would love to swop the old house sized "portable" for this sleek beast!
  14. Currently running dual r9 290, but i am very curious to see what improvements this card offers for performance and power due to my usage.
  15. I have actually been interested in these type of short throw projectors for a while since the CES 2015 vid with that uber crazy $55000 sony short throw projector. (of course that one is quite a bit oit of reach) Definitely interested to see how i can use this as a secondary "screen" for couch games and any video media really in stead of a tv i currently make use of for this purpose.
