I usually wear (haven't played airsoft or paintball in a few years, but I've tried simmunition a few times last year) 5.11 Tactical or Marine attire. Wearing light clothing is preferred for indoor airsoft as most only allow -300fps (~110m/s) semi-autos and you may not feel someone pegging you with .16g BB's.

Some people want to make great changes and that isn't going to happen if you sit around and expect the position to fall in your lap. Unless you're a professional loaf and building a couch of toothpicks is your magnum opus.

Because you wrongfully claim meat is unhealthy, but as you later elaborate you meant our farming practises give rise to risky environments where pathogens can thrive.
You have to be careful with wording, because things in this sentence are wrong:
HIV cannot be transmitted through food [WHO] H1N1, doesn't spread through eating meat. It spreads from animal to human for the inital jump and person to person contact for the strain that resulted [CDC,WHO,Springer] COVID19 also has nothing to do with simply eating meat. It's specifically eating exotic animals (e.g. bats) that carry these viruses. COVID19 has all but been predicted a decade ago already:

There's a lot that can be improved in our meat industry, but just going "meat is bad" doesn't cut it. You eat the wrong plant you die as well. Don't wash your veggies and you run the risk of ingesting e-coli or other fun stuff.

This is also very prone to the correlation vs causation problem, because vegetarians and vegans seem to be more active or health concious in the first place [NCBI]. I'm confident it'd be much harder to tell if you lined up 10 olympic athletes of each group.

    Now on-topic:
I have yet to find a suitable meat substitute. Everything I've tried so far has been disappointing, so I still eat meat. I'm pretty low on its consumption if I cook myself though, once maybe twice per week, and when I do I try not to get the dollar store stuff.
It will be interesting to see where lab meat ends up. In the mean time I think it's very worth it to inform people about cooking deliciously without it instead of trying to fake it with cardboard sausages. Taking my personal history, part of the problem is the old mindset of meat+potatoes+veggies for every meal from previous generations. You can make delicious jackfruit "pulled pork", king oyster mushroom "scallops" or portobello "burgers", but if we keep associating those words with those ingredients we won't break the meat-with-everything mindset and also set the wrong expectations. Of course a mushroom won't taste like a beef burger; never will either. That doesn't mean it tastes bad.

The more people see how much it takes an individual to rent an apartment, buy groceries, penny pinch to the limit, the more they wonder why they work for a market system that invariably keeps you down unless you get lucky or work too hard to make it worthwhile.

Luck is one way. Most often however, the self-made wealthy folk tend to be cutthroat predators, at least, on their way up. America seems to often reward those that toe the moral, and sometimes legal, line.

Anyone can achieve wealth in America if you have the fangs to do so, and the will to use them. The "Land of Opportunity" isn't a lie. Though, you'll probably find that you will need to sideline your moral compass in favor of cold pragmatism, so as to have the wherewithal to cut down the competition, that has gotten progressively fiercer and merciless over the years. This last bit, I feel (ie, this is an opinion), is the real divide in our society.

ARikozuM reacted to LAwLz in Meltdown-like vulnerability found in AMD CPUs
    This is false.
The researchers created a POC that they used to reliably exploit this security hole. That's why they have a table for "AMD CPUs we tested" as well as example code in their paper.
They also found that older Intel CPUs are also vulnerable. They tested it on an i7-10510U as well and that was not vulnerable. Intel introduced hardware mitigation for MDS in Cascade Lake and Ice Lake so presumably anything earlier than 10th gen Intel is vulnerable. Might be worth putting that in the title so we don't end up in another scenario like with Spectre where people thought it was only Intel that were affected, even though AMD was too.

First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Also, I think it is ridiculous that you think that you can't speak out against something unless it affects you personally.
I am against a lot of things even though they don't personally affect me. I am against stealing even if it's not one of my possessions that are being stolen. I am against racism even if it's not my race being discriminated against. I am against overly restrictive gaming policies even though they don't apply to me.
