the 15" macbook pro is genuinely on my radar as my next machine, just want to see some benchmarks on the new AMD GPU
 
The air is gone, the new 13" without the touch bar replaces the air, its smaller, same weight but more powerful etc
 
no point making the air when they have teh 12" macbook and the new thin 13" pro

No Mac Pro updates, maybe it will be quiet, the mac pros are only like 5% of mac purcases, no new imacs either- maybe next year! or maybe they will get CPU and GPU updates and no new chassis

No touch screen, but I dont like touch screen as it forces interfaces to be touch friendly, making them DUMB  or too fiddly
 
the new touch bar puts touch friendly options on the keyboard

hardly, what the hell are people connecting to their laptops?
 
I rarely connect a single peripheral, most things are wireless, printer, internet, transferring from my phone and camera, wireless logitech mouse etc

if I connect something I will just use USB C

The 15" base model actually looks like pretty good value...
 
13" with 16gb upgrade is $2,000. So for $400 more you get quad core i7, bigger screen, and a dedicated GPU.. but then again.. it is $2400 xD.

Honestly I'd rather they reuse and thereby recycle old and still useful old parts instead of just creating more trash.

meh i personally dont care if my replacement is a refurb, it makes no difference to me and is good for the planet

What? being at the back is better so it doesnt get in the way when using a mouse

For somebody who just wants to play games, doesnt want the complication/expense etc
 
I have consoles for the exclusives but they are perfectly fine machines if all somebody wants to do is game without fiddling around
 
They generally last a long time, and you only have to buy new hardware like every 5-10 years

is the PC better? yes, does it do more? yes, is it potentially cheaper in the long run? maybe
 
But if somebody just wants to play a decent selection of games without complication I really dont see the issue,, and lets not forget some people dont care about the extra stuff and just want to play games easily
 

That drawing is flawed as hell. For one, you're implying that the wire gets shorter because it's there. Two, most headphones generally don't get in the way unless you use some awkward ass positioning.

I get that the clipboard has to detach, but why not at least at the bottom?
 
 

So much Apple hate on this forum. I'm not crazy about the new Macbook lineup but at least they tried something different. Most people who hate on Macbooks here probably never even used them. Even on inferior hardware they tend to perform as good if not better than their PC counterparts. 
 
Another thing, the "Pro" title is marketing bullshit. 
13-in MBP --> Made for students/people on the go
15-in MBP --> Made for mobile content creators/people with too much money who need to show they can afford the best
 
A 13-in MBP with dual core i5 and 8GB is more than enough horsepower for 90% of the population. Sure it isn't great value, but some people enjoy the feeling of using a high-quality product. Go pick up a Macbook at the Apple store and you'll understand the feeling. Apple capitalizes on that feeling. 
 
When I worked a Best Buy, we always said that the easiest way to upsell to a Macbook (or iPad) was to put the product in the customers hands. Trust me it works.

not really aside from gaming macbooks are pretty awesome machines
