id rather just get a shield

the concept doesnt really seem that special to me, especially since the hardware isnt exactly groundbreaking

its going to have to really impress me, it wont be a first thing purchase thats for sure

I am really on the fence with the switch, im still not sure I will bother to get one

A7R2 was using one the other day with the 85 f1.4 G master, and the 24-70 F2.8 G master insane camera Second to that the D810 And finally my A7 I also used an FS5 for about 10 minutes but not sure that counts

the problem is that nothing else runs OSX which is a benefit in its own right I mean spec for spec id get the new blade or an MSI or something, but Macbooks are still awesome machine for content creators id love to get one purely for photo and vidoe work, forgetting the specs they just so well optimised for those applications

Im not saying there is anything wrong with cables, im just saying that it HAS a headphone port, or you could get a USB C AMP/DAC to use anyway its a few inches difference compared to last model, hardly matters to like 99% of people, and for many people there are decent wireless options even if they are not their main cans im getting some bluetooth overears just for convenience, they wont replace my main headphones but thats okay, just like my gaming laptop doesnt replace my desktop either, its just there because using my desktop on a train is a bit hard

I am not debating that! An audiophile and tech enthusiast is not the same thing plus if i was at work or gaming on the go i might use the some QC35s or something for convenience, and not carry my super expensive audiophile cans around everywhere etc only an elitest snob would think that they cannot use some slightly worse than perfect headphones for convenience sake when using their machine you still CAN connect your audiophile headphones, the port is only like 2" further back

well it was more towards the back, why would anyone want it in the middle I dont see a single issue with it being where it is on the new one

What? being at the back is better so it doesnt get in the way when using a mouse honestly im not sure how this is even an issue the headphone jack and all IO has ALWAYS towards the back on macbooks

VSDC is useless anyway, get davinchi resolve or hitfilm 3 and export using that but it sounds like you exported incorrectly

sure but it would barely cost more to get a new USB C storage device, a bluetooth mouse, sync phone over wifi, and use a wireless controller Heck im not tying to say its the ultimate laptop for everyone just that i dont think the USB thing is that big an issue and its NOT an issue for myself - plus while I sit here talking about apple its not like I only use apple products or anything

I must be the only excited about the new ports then the F keys are there if you hold the function button, but they arent needed since we have new context sentitive buttons which seem 20x better and more intuituve

the industry HAS to move forwards eventually i doubt somebody seriously interested in a macbook would not buy it because its not got old USB ports you already have to spend £2600 for a top spec 15" a new £30 mouse wont kill me
