    wonder how they benchmark its USB C / thunderbolt so you can just buy 3rd party shit anyway also means all the peripheral makers can make money making new products with new USB C connectors - pushing the industry and making everyone more money

    You can connect over wifi for itunes syncinc, or use air drop, or handoff for moving between apps, plus universal copy paste between mac ipad and iphone - no cable needed point and shoot cameras are dead too

    Put a USB C to USB A adapter in your bag, for the times you need to do that, its like a tiny $10 adapter or just AIRDROP to your colleagues etc there are great wireless mice like the logitech mx master that are awesome for macros and content creation and are fine for a bit of laptop gaming on the go, the macbooks are shit for gaming anyway the touchbar looks awesome tbh, would help so much in lightroom and premiere

    absolutely, its the ultimate set up, and it still works with old stuff IF needed Most people will only need USB docked so just connect all your old USB shit to a USB Hub etc Dunno why people want old USB, probably because the industry is slow to adopt, this will help push USB C even faster

    Agreed, im starting to swtich to USB C stuff anyway so this only helps Lack of SD card really does suck for photographers, but i often transfer photos over wifi from my camera these days or just shove a cable in my bag or get a really fast USB C card reader I guess, not the end of the world especially as many pro cameras use XQD, CF and other such cards

    hardly, what the hell are people connecting to their laptops? I rarely connect a single peripheral, most things are wireless, printer, internet, transferring from my phone and camera, wireless logitech mouse etc if I connect something I will just use USB C

    No Mac Pro updates, maybe it will be quiet, the mac pros are only like 5% of mac purcases, no new imacs either- maybe next year! or maybe they will get CPU and GPU updates and no new chassis No touch screen, but I dont like touch screen as it forces interfaces to be touch friendly, making them DUMB or too fiddly the new touch bar puts touch friendly options on the keyboard

    the pro has MORE connectivity 4 Thunderbolt/USB C meaning each port can do MANY things the air was very limited on connectivity

    Ive been using gaming laptops for years and its rare I EVER plug anything into the USB ports, and if I do, its when docked at home with a display and a hub so I just connect everything to the USB ports on my screen and connect it to my macbook with one cable. sorted on the road just carry a single USB adapter in your bag JUST in case, or buy a new USB C memory stick etc

    the 15" macbook pro is genuinely on my radar as my next machine, just want to see some benchmarks on the new AMD GPU The air is gone, the new 13" without the touch bar replaces the air, its smaller, same weight but more powerful etc no point making the air when they have teh 12" macbook and the new thin 13" pro

    They are all USB C ports too, and going forwards most things will be USB C or can be adapted to whatever the hell you want plus you can do USB C to HDMI or whatever else you want etc

    The Hero 5 is pretty awesome, a very well rounded option, arguably the best on the market 4k60 would be awesome but honestly its not the end of the world
