wifi for gaming, isnt really the best idea depending on how the wifi is setup ( depends on the games he gonna play course)
 
id suggest looking into powerline adapter,  its a bit hit and miss aswell, so buy from amazon and return if it doesnt work out right

what parts do you already have? 
and skip buying windows for now, deal with the watermark, it only limits you in customization ways 
 
put the 100 somewhere where it'll give you more performance 

Wireless N is really holding you back, I see it all the time, ping isn't really the problem. You'll get a more stable and stronger connection with Wireless AX. Not to mention the range on those USB chips is abysmal. I see this everyday. Unless your entire WiFi setup(modem, router, and AP) is Wireless N you're going to want to get a better WiFi adapter. You'll see a better more stable connection and most likely notice faster download and upload speeds. I work in IT and Networking, I'm not just spouting nonsense. The WiFi being built into the board also saves your friend money... It's the same board just with built in WiFi and much better WiFi than that USB chip. A set of powerline adapters will also suffice for both of you, they convert the wiring in your home into an ethernet connection just by plugging one into an outlet and the router and one into an outlet and the computer. I'd look into them if either of you want a hardwired connection.

Just get a standard run of the mill sata one NOT MSATA so you can reuse it later on and call it a day. No worries about pcie lanes either but again your board seem to just use the sata controller for the msata slot anyway.

if you buying the aio for looks go ahead,
 
but you dont need a aio for a 5600x
a budget air cooler or stock cooler will work just fine
 
general advice is spend less on looks and more on performance, you might be able to fit a better gpu doing that

also is there a reason for going with such a expensive mobo?

think you might be over spending on the mobo

check what features your getting over a cheaper model
and then figure out if the difference is worth it to you 
 

unless the drive is encrypted,
and if you run out of other ideas 
a linux live usb,
might be able to get the data back without dealing with the permissions issue 

try lowering the ram frequency
it sloved a memory leak problem for me at once

the same ones you use on a windows machine

I feel like you guys are somewhat overcomplicating things
 
if you really want to host the site from home a rpi 3 running any linux with lamp stack should do just fine ( i use dietpi myself it has preconfigured installers for most common things)
 
but since you have a budget and internet may be a concern id say you're probably better off using a hosting provider

so anything better than a hd3000 should do the op

the software redirects all traffic to there server so its gonna disconnect the connection on the device till it connects
 
if other device disconnect when you connecting to the vpn
