  1. i use rustdesk i always have one or another issue with vnc https://github.com/rustdesk/rustdesk-server
  2. do you want to switch both monitors to work or gaming machine? or one display for each machine? this for the usb stuff, https://www.amazon.co.uk/UGREEN-Sharing-Keyboard-Scanner-Printer-Black/dp/B01N6GD9JO/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3HA2NK0D7ACKM&keywords=usb+kvm&qid=1649093069&sprefix=usb+kvm%2Caps%2C53&sr=8-3 a hdmi switch will work for switching displays back and forth pretty sure someone will pop in with a proper kvm suggestion but i think the level1techs kvm might do the job?
  3. what parts do you already have? and skip buying windows for now, deal with the watermark, it only limits you in customization ways put the 100 somewhere where it'll give you more performance
  4. what stores are available to you, your in the eu, so you can order from germany etc have you looked at how much shipping costs/ if they deliver might be cheaper
  5. wifi for gaming, isnt really the best idea depending on how the wifi is setup ( depends on the games he gonna play course) id suggest looking into powerline adapter, its a bit hit and miss aswell, so buy from amazon and return if it doesnt work out right
  6. PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nqL9Nc CPU: Intel Core i5-12400F 2.5 GHz 6-Core Processor ($179.99 @ B&H) Motherboard: Gigabyte B660M DS3H DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700 Motherboard ($119.99 @ Amazon) Memory: Silicon Power 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory ($58.97 @ Amazon) Storage: Intel 670p 512 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive ($49.99 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 12 GB VENTUS 2X Video Card ($479.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: Antec NeoECO Gold ZEN 700 W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply ($67.42 @ Amazon) Total: $956.34 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2022-04-04 12:33 EDT-0400 cpu comes with a stock cooler and with that budget you can fit a 3060 12gb general rule is buy the most powerfull gpu you can afford also gpu prices have dropped in the last month
  7. ah ok, no worries, what about the power source, like is it plugged directly into a wall socket? or through an extension cord is the power from mains prone to large voltage changes like old wiring in your current house
  8. ive had the bsods when overclocking, anyways your at stock im guessing have you tried underclocking things ? ( not ideal but could help narrow down the issue)
  9. jaslion answer below just go with that performance should be the same, as for pcie lanes dont think that would effect gpu, the m.2 slot might disable a sata port when in use other than that its just dealing with cables thou one thing to consider its a slot easier to pull out sata drives for support reasons than an m.2
  10. Budget (including currency): 500euro Country: eu(uk/ireland) Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: mostly gaming 1440p 144hz ( esports games overwatch, fortnite, cod warzone) and 4k 60hz ( single player games cyberpunk, assains creed etc) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): recently got a 3080, knew i was gonna need a cpu upgrade question is what should i upgrade to? 5600(6 core), or 5700 ( 8 core) will consider x variants if cost isn't to different I plan on sticking with this build for at least the next 5 years parts were bought over 2 years so prices are filled in based on what i paid motherboard has support via beta bios for 5600 and 5700 pc part picker list https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/sGDb8r and will be selling the cpu and gpu to recover some of the upgrade costs
  11. Would a Kingston NV1 1TB M.2 2280 NVMe work? short answer no, sata and nvme are protocols, the mobo only supports sata m.2 is the physical connector pc part picker has filters to make it easier to find a compatible drive ( the link below should be filtered to what's needed ) https://pcpartpicker.com/products/internal-hard-drive/#D=0&i=83&sort=price (someone correct me if im wrong)
  12. so title says it all looking to get a iPhone se 128gb i can get either a 2022 from apple 600 2020 refurb with new battery like new condition for 400 or 2020 refurb like new with battery atleast 80% for 300 what would you do? i plan on keeping the phone for atleast 4years itll be mostly just a calls, message, and bank/work phone i have another one for media consumption all i really care about is the software support
  13. so is no one gonna mention how the 1050ti, looks like its costs 1500usd on partpicker?
  14. if you buying the aio for looks go ahead, but you dont need a aio for a 5600x a budget air cooler or stock cooler will work just fine general advice is spend less on looks and more on performance, you might be able to fit a better gpu doing that also is there a reason for going with such a expensive mobo?
