  1. Thanks for all the info After digging through a bunch of used cameras on the market, I've nabbed an a6400 with a pretty good lens for a bargain. Will do my best to learn the ins and out of how this thing works.
  2. Hiya guys, Decided to get into photography since I'll be travelling a lot more for work, so I decided to learn this side of things. For the mean time, I want to learn the basics and get to know my first camera before I head off. From what Google and YouTube have recommended, the Sony a6400 is a good bang for the buck pick. As I'm still pretty clueless of where to look for more in depth comparison, I thought I'd give the forum a go and see what you guys would recommend. Prefer a budget of no more that £700-800 and not fussed if it's used. Hopefully you can give some lens recommendations too. If there's any YouTube creators or sites you'd recommend to learn from, I'd happily give them a look.
  3. All four DIMMs are from the same kit and CPU-Z verifies it. Tried it with 1.15 and 1.2, and still getting errors. Might have to spend a day dialing it in as this cpu probably drew the short straw on the memory controller.
  4. Hiya guys, I've been spending some time trying to figure out what sort of settings I can tweak for my kit of memory. When I load up XMP profile 1, my system starts spitting out errors in TestMem5. BIOS and chipset drivers are up to date, so I guess it's either the timings or the voltage that need dialing in. CPU us a 5800X3D, memory is a kit of 4* 16GB 3600MHz and the board is a MSI MPG X570S. At the moment, I have it running without any xmp settings enabled, but any tips on what I can change to get the 3600 config work? Thanks
  5. Hiya guys, With the upcoming changes to my job, I'm going to be more on the move than before, so I thought I might as well get something while I'm away from my main rig. The key points I'm really looking for would be somewhat thin and light (nothing overly bulky), great for gaming and light video editing, great build quality and something that's not too flashy as I may end up using it in meetings here and there. Some of the picks I've found so far are the Asus ROG Zephyrus M and the MSI GS65 Stealth. Both have the i7-9750H and a 2060. The Asus does however come with 1TB over the MSI's 512GB. The budget I guess is about £2K, but if there's a significant upgrade on another option which is a bit higher, then I can manage. The window of time until I need one is at the start of April, so if I missed any new releases during CES, I'll consider them as I remember there were a few 10th gen Intel and some AMD laptops here and there. Thanks for the help
  6. 2019 upgrades complete - Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro - Schiit Magni 3 + Modi 3 - Logitech G560 - HyperX Quadcast
  7. For some reason, can't seem to find an option to deliver to the UK on drop.com. I'm guessing this is a US specific product.
  8. Not sure when I last updated my specs tbh. I do a lot of racing sims with a few friends every now and then and being above 60Hz is slightly easier on the eyes. I got em at a really good price and they've lasted me a good number of years. Edit: Updated the specs
  9. For the price, they're damn good. However, I already have a proper mic on the way, so it'll kinda be a waste.
  10. I kinda wanna spoil myself tbh XD But if it is pretty comparable, then I'll consider it.
  11. Not too big on noise cancelling on gaming headphones. Would rather see a product use that budget for an open back design or something.
  12. I'll be buying the Schiit Magni 3. Still on the fence about buying a DAC too, but I'm guessing it'll be inevitable,
  13. Hiya guys, I'm well overdue for a headphone upgrade as my og HyperX clouds will be re-purposed for another pc. So many sites/videos seem to say one is better over the others, so it's hard to narrow down to one. The ones I have on my list are as follows: Beyerdynamic 1990 Pro Open @£370 Beyerdynamic Amiron @£400 Sennheiser 600S @£360 Shure SRH1540 @£340 The main use for these will be for gaming. Other than that, occasional movies and a whole variety of music. If there's anything else that you might recommend, feel free to mention it.
  14. Hi everyone, This has been causing me issues for the past month. Originally, I had the RBG G502 for about 3 years until it started having this issue. At first, it would randomly left clicking without input, then that would stop and it would right click and hold once again without input. This happens after roughly 3 hours of use. I decided to open it up and clean it out which didn't do much. I reinstalled the driver and it's still doing it. So I gave up and bought the wireless version of the G502, but after 2 weeks of use, that issue has come up again and it's driving me crazy. Is it something funky with W10? Or is my PC telling me to take a break from gaming by trolling me? Just another part of the issue, sometimes I can't even left click until I right click first. This happens every couples of seconds or so. Update: Just for funsies, i tried it without a mouse connected, and it still right clicks randomly. wtf
  15. Not necessarily (I do have quite a number of blu rays though). But it doesn't seem that much more for a pretty good jump in quality.
  16. Currently, my picks are the LG OLED55C8PLA 55" and the Samsung Sound+ HW-MS650. If there's any alternatives you would recommend, I'll be sure to look into them.
  17. Hiya guys, So I'll be moving out soon and I don't want to go through the hassle of taking down the TV/speakers I have mounted to my walls (also because i may have lost the stand). I'd like to think of it as a welcoming gift to my family to whoever moves into this room. With a budget of around £1000-£1500, what setup would you recommend? At most, the TV can be 65" due to space constraints. I've been going through plenty of review and comparison sites, but everyone seems to have thier own take on it. I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to this stuff so any advice would be appreciated. This will mainly be used for watching movies and the occasional couch gaming on the PS$/Switch. Thanks
