So, what? They've admitted they're tracking on time, application run time, queries to a service that MS themselves host and analytics for their own website's usage. All of which is anonymous, most of which can be disabled through settings

The system doesn't exceed 50 celsius with the pump going 50% (silent) opposed to the pump going 100% and never going over 50. The amount of current the pump gets doesn't seem to matter that much
    Finished build:

We used silicone to seal the reservoir from leaking.
Maybe I'll get my friend to post me some screenshots of benchmarks, but you know how an overclocked 570 performs Nice performance/noise improvement for 5 euros [emoji14]

You are using an USB to PCI-E adapter for a RAID card? Don't you slow down the drives heavily?

Here is my passive (more or less ghetto) cooling mod:

Umm, there is a fan there now we did the finished loop (which runs cooler btw), I'll add a post about that today, have been busy at work so couldn't update in a while (although this was done during the weekend) There are some fun things in it, for example: the pump can be controlled in speedfan, which is awesome

I already did the update but the forum logged me off just when I was about to post it...
So I'm gonna just give you a link to the Imgur album and maybe post some text tomorrow Basically we got it done, excluding the mounting into the case. The temps are under 51c even after slight overclocking, we got the stripped screw off and I'm too tired right now to write about everything We did all of this in 24 hours (friday night- saturday night), and neither of us had any earlier experience in watercooling at all. Cool cool, here's the album, good night folks

Ok good. But are you sure the antifreeze is also a good corrosion inhibitor (I have no idea if it is).
The "passive" heat sinks are designed to have good airflow from the main cooler. They are way to smal to usem them passive. I allready tried it with a GTX 970. I had to add a ~8 times bigger heat sink to tunn it passive and VRM don't exceed 100°C anymore.
Keep going it looks like a very interesting project!

    Wellcome to the forum!
The copper plate is good enougth for heat distribution. I use a 5mm plate for 180 watts and it looks like you have a 10 mm thik one, so it should be ok for 220 watts. Just make sure the contact point to the GPU core is very smooth and plane.
With the intel heatsink the heat transfer to the water will obviously be better, but you will have a mixed copper / alu loop and you need good corrosion inhibitor.

Also try to cover the VRM ans VRAM as well with the waterblock or use a fan to have a considerable amount of airflow over the card.

So, this is what we have: a motorcycle radiator, bilge pump, a bunch of copper and a gtx 570 which is running way too loud/hot. We're talking about 70c on load, 75% fan speed (earrape). The cooling materials cost 5 euros, I already had the radiator and a bilge pump. The bilge pump pumps 396 l/hour so it's on par with pc-watercooling pumps

We already got the flow going, today we are doing the waterblock, from the intel heatsink or just from copper. We didn't get this one stripped screw out so we had to stop for the night Will post updates

KillMeika reacted to Solarfervor in What do you guys think of this Android security app?
No, Do Not sponsor. you don't need an anti virus for android, "ram booster" just eats up battery because the processes with start up again, the phone takes care of freeing memory up automatically, phone already has app manager built in., android already has a built in scanner for 3rd party apps. As for anti theft and power saver, there are loads of apps that are less bulky than this one that can take care of this for you. There is literally no good use for this app.
