  1. From experience, I can tell you that a 34" ultrawide was fine at a desk depth of 65cm, especially when getting a proper monitor arm that attaches to the desk. I can't recommend any specific monitor tho. There are just too many!
  2. It's not fair that the Americans get a solar eclipse!

We Europeans are the ones who are supposed to burn our eyes out by staring directly into the sun. We have health insurance!

  3. Is there even any education in the US? The driver's licenses in Germany cost somewhere around 3-4000€ right now because each student gets individual lessons from professionals. And that's really where the much lower casualty rate in comparison to the US comes from -> Education!
  4. YouTube is not always a good place for education.

MKBHD seemingly does not know what "vertical integration" means and gives a false explanation of it in this video:

Not just YouTubers, but also all kinds of media have become increasingly lazy with their research in recent years.

Yeah.... No. We have a lot of cities that still have them, for example, Dresden. The moment you drive faster than 30kph they become really annoying.

Until you have to drive on them.
  12. Realistically companies are building these door handles into their cars for marketing purposes. It looks futuristic and attracts attention. The aesthetics argument I kind of get, but aerodynamics are not the reason they do it. They claim to do it for that reason, but we all know flush door handles have been a thing for decades, without them being electrically operated.
  13. I have owned a Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 5, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 7 Pro and now own a Pixel 8 Pro. Of all of these phones, the only one that had issues with mobile connectivity was the Pixel 6 Pro. However, the issue was relatively minor, as I only experienced long connection times when coming out of a building or garage where I didn't have a connection at all. Fix your consumer protection laws. That's the hard truth.
  14. Sorry, electrically operated door handles seemed like tech to me.
  15. Summary The German automotive club ADAC (Algemeiner Deutscher Automobil Club) warns against retractable door handles, as they can be a safety risk to those trapped in a car due to an accident. In order to quickly rescue people from an accident vehicle, it is important for first responders to be able to open a vehicle from the outside quickly, easily and intuitively. Even more so if there is a vehicle fire. From the ADAC's point of view, retractable door handles, i.e. those that retract flush into the side of the car when parking and driving, could make this task significantly more difficult, especially for laypeople. But even professional rescue workers would take longer to get to the occupants. Quotes (Translated by Google Translator) My thoughts I'm completely with ADAC on this one. These things suck! Not only are they a pain to use compared to regular door handles, but they also are a major safety risk that is seemingly ignored by authorities. Not only can they fail and stop working, it's also not very intuitive to know where the emergency release is located and how some of them operate. If I would find a person stuck in a Tesla, BMW, Mercedes or any other car with such door handles, I would not know how to get the door open, if they stopped working or are still retracted. 20. Not sure which exact lens you have, but I assume it's the 10-30mm kit lens that came with the camera. I recommend that you first see what you can do with that lens and find the limits of it. Then you know which one to get next. But if you have the 10-30, then that's a pretty good starting point in regards to its focal range, since your camera has a crop factor of 2.7 it seems. Crop factor means, that due to the sensor size, your focal range is 2.7 times larger in comparison to a full-frame sensor. So 10mm on your camera would be equivalent to 27mm on a full-frame camera. But overall I'd say you should focus less on your gear and instead focus on improving your skills first.
  21. Nothing wrong with the Nikon and the kit lens for now. It's more important that you learn how to properly use a camera and learn to take good photos. When I started I used to watch a lot of YT videos, especially Tony & Chelsea Northrup: https://www.youtube.com/@TonyAndChelsea They offer a huge selection of guides for all sorts of cameras and types of photography. For example there's an almost 1 hour long overview of your camera: They also regularly critique photos and just a few weeks ago they did a video on cars: And they also have tips and tricks specifically for car photography, like in this video: Of course they are not always right or perfect, but for me their content was really helpful!

Do they start at 40k used? My new one was 58k€ and you can get new ones for 50k€ now. With current pricing that's nothing. Even the new Gen 7 Mustang starts at 60k€ and the Dark Horse is a little over 70k€ I think. In comparison, a new Mercedes C43 AMG starts at 80k€ and has less hp! The Mustang is honestly one of the best new car deals ever. It's no wonder it's the most-sold sports car. These are all 5.0 Mustang GTs Cabriolets. Literally under 50k€ brand new.
