  1. Good thing I'm with a small ISP, who gives me free(included in rent) 100/10 and no data cap. I can download and upload as much as I want. As a single resident, i rarely hit 1tb downloaded.
  2. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/10/09/samsung-has-temporarily-suspended-production-of-galaxy-note-7-report.html WTB Note 7, $50. Delete if megathread
  3. Well, I plan on upgrading both parts eventually, so I have my sights set on a 1070. Getting a i7 is definitely going to happen.
  4. I'm really itching for some more proformance. I was wondering what my first upgrade should be. Ive seen alot of games maxing my cpu out more than my gpu, yet one of my friends said I should still upgrade my gpu first. I really want a 10 series nvidia card, but I probably can get a better deal currently on a cpu/mobo combo. What do you guys think? For reference, my cpu is overclocked to 4.1 ghz, and my card is 2gb
  5. I'm getting my friend to update to w10 today, before the free upgrade expires. The problem is, he says he no longer gets the update notification. I'm not sure if he used never 10 or what. My question is, I already have a boot thumb drive with Windows 10 on it. What do I do when it asks for a registration key when I'm installing windows 10. AFAIK, when you upgrade your current installation, it uses your old windows 7/8 key. I know when I installed windows 10,i used my windows 8 key and it worked fine. My friends computer is a Dell with OEM windows 7. Should I just take the key off the back of the case and use that?
  6. i7 3570k @ 4.1ghz 770 2gb ram: i forget, honestly Not ready
  7. I think i've figured out what i was doing wrong.
  8. My small local ISP was giving me the run around for a long time. Then I finally spoke to the chief technical officer, and he fixed all my problems in person. 4 thumbs up for http://vaskywire.com/
  9. AARG. I havnet been this frustrated with an app since Windows ME.
  10. I'm not an idiot, but i swear this program never saves password properly when entering a new website or changing passwords. I have tried 4 times to get my banking password to be correct, and every time I to log in from a different computer the password is never correct. I payed for a years worth of this service, and it's frustrating to all hell. I'm no idiot, I consider myself a power user, but I am having the hardest time using this program. I just want to see my bank statement.
  11. I was using windows 8.1 and uninstalling the audio driver fixed a memory leak. I downloaded the windows 10 drivers for my Mobo's audio, and installed the drivers through the device manager. I didn't install the Realtek program. The problem is that i never see an app thats taking up memory. So it must be a driver?
  12. I've been having memory leaks with windows 10, but when I goto task manager, there is no obvious application that is taking up resources. Could mixing two different speeds of ram cause this? Edit: can a mod move this you the Q&A forum?
