  1. Hello !

I bought a Xiami MI Notebook pro six months ago (I7 processor), and I would like to buy a SSD to be installed on the second slot M.2.

It is not clear if M.2 Sata or M.2 PCIE is supported on this 2nd slot.

I saw that last year, you were looking for a 2nd SSD ... but I did not know what is your final choice.

    Can you help me ?

  2. Oh I see, in my case, I thought they were essential for the system to work ? Thanks for your advice & time
  3. You got a good point here ? If you say that it's useless, what are they are for?
  4. But the system will still work ? Is that what you are saying. I know Molex isnt the greatest solution of all time but at first, I only want to run a new Ryzen CPU when they'll launch
  5. I noticed something, on the new announced there is more than a 8 pin connector for the CPU power, thing is, my current powersupply doesn't have more than 8 pin for the CPU power. Question is now DO I need an other PSU or can I molex the extra pins that are missing? (I have a CX 650 from corsair) Thanks
  6. I know faster ram was going to help, but since im a little tight in the budget, I was just asking if my current RAM would work until I can get faster one.
  7. Hi, these new AMD CPU seem DOPE. Thing is, I currently have slow DDR4 ram (2133mhz) and I was wondering, eventhought this is not ideal speed for Ryzen CPU will I still be able to put them in my system when IU'll have the new CPU installed or do I ABSOLUTLY need to buy new RAM to make my system work. Thanks people ?
  8. So I recently bought a GTX 1070 for a good price and now I realize that my poor I5 6400 holds my new Graphic card back when I play on some heavy games. For now I don't have a specific budget but maybe not over 500 CAD$ (For the CPU ONLY) since I also have to buy a new Motherboard & potentially a cooler to support that CPU. I don't mind switching for Ryzen if this would be the better option. I need your help to tell me what CPU would be perfect for my system as I want to : Game (primary task), Stream (sometime), VideoEditing(Not a lot but I use 4K file most of the time). Thanks for your help ? Remember, I'M CANADIAN, so I'd like some canadian prices when you show me your ideas for my CPU
  9. All right, I know this post is getting old but I have to ask an other question ? On the charger it says the following things : - 65W -100V - 240V 50/60Hz - 1.8A -5V-3A 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3.25A So I don't really know what to do with theses infos
  10. All right, I have a Xiaomi notebook Pro since Christmas. I found out that the charger that comes with it is a 65W. Because I know my self too well, I know I will eventually lose that charger. (Yeah don't ask) After a little search on Amazon, I identified some charger but they were all 60W. I was wondering if they would work or do I ABSOLUTLY need at least 65W on the charger. If so, could you give me some link to CANADIAN websites? PS: I couldn't find the answer and the support from Xiaomi told me that the Pro version wasn't release in the US/Can so they couldn't give me answer, even the global wouldn't answer me =( EDIT: On the charger it says the following things : - 65W -100V - 240V 50/60Hz - 1.8A -5V-3A 9V-3A, 12V-3A, 15V-3A, 20V-3.25A Thanks ?
  11. Hi, this can sound stupid but I would like to know if it was possible for me to use my Android device as a bluetooth headphone receiver. Here how lazy I am: I have a live stream going on my laptop, I need to work around the room to get some files printed and other stuff I can't do with my butt stuck on my chair. I don't want to watch my stream on my smartphone and I do not have wireless earbuds. I thought about using my android (Xiaomi mi A1) as my receiver but I couldn't find much info. Can you help me? Thanks in advance!
  12. Thank you very much! I will try this before buying a new drive!
  13. Hi, I recently bought a Xiaomi notebook Pro (8GB ram, i5 model) With the 256GB NvMe SSD, I'm a bit stuck. I need more storage to store video clips, photo and other big document. I know there is a second M.2 slot in this laptop. The thing is, I've been searching for what type of SSD I could put in but the answer were not the same. Some people say that I can ONLY put in a second NvMe drive but the slot is x2 and not x4. Some people say I can ONLY put a Sata 3 drive and again, some people say I can put both of them. People also seem to be saying that the biggest drive I can put is 1TB. SO, I'm here to have a good answer before buying a second drive. If you need some more information, don't be shy to ask. 14. Hi, I have a laptop and a Desktop. My Internet connexion at home is crap and I have datacap that is very low (I live in the wood, far from civilisation xD) For school I need to install Visual Studio 2017 with the c++ developpment stuff, this is around 7-8 Go which I can't really "afford" due to my datacap. At school I have a good internet connexion so I downloaded Visual Studio on my laptop not problem, I use the installer to do so. My question now is: Is there a way I can make a .iso or some kind of installer to install Visual Studio at home on my Desktop using the lowest amount of Internet Data? Thanks for your help and if I forgot to mention any informations, please let me know.
