  1. Get a zalman virtual optical drive, will let you use it as a usb 3 ssd or mout ISO files & boot off them http://www.zalman.com/eng/product/Product_Read.php?Idx=674
  2. I paid the equivalent of around $450-500 for my 32gb ddr4 kit (£350-380)Not to mention £80-90 for 250gb Samsung ssd's & £100 for a 4tb wd green drive
  3. I try to rise above it, for the past 2 years I've been in a job I loath with people I detest & find the lowest type o pond scum. It's only through my ability to bite my tongue & see the bigger picture that I've managed to get through. In my case I've been paying off our wedding & I know that as soon a Ive made the last payment I can leave. So really helps having a goal to drive you & push you forward when if it wasn't for that you would have told them to go "star" "star"
  4. X99 all the way, might be overkill for gaming, but longevity it will out live z87 / z97 setups
  5. Expert opinion... Don't eat the yellow snow?
  6. Personally? Server : 12.somthing TB (2x4tb 2x2tb 1x128gb) Workstation: 3TB (4x256gb SSD raid 0 2x1tb Development box / virtual host 1.2tb (256gb ssd 1x1tb) Bout it aside removable backup drives
  7. Chances are if it supported 7 it will support 8.1 I recently reloaded a lot of machines at work & 8.1 found all drivers
  8. Always loved the build quality, price tag not so much, love my pc-d600 though, pretty much a piece of furniture & the cooling options on it are great, 2 x 420mm (or double stack the rads in the right 1/2 of the case to sand-wedge 2-3 420's together) 1 x 360 though that's in the drive bays 1 x 240 1 x 120
  9. Strangely enough I don't feel the urge to try it on one of my gtx 980's
  10. Also are they pwm or dc? Asus boards will let you choose between, if the cable to cpu header from fan controller is a single wire then the chances are its speed singal only & you won't be able to adjust it using motherboard software
