  1. Yes yes i know its a alienware, but in my defense its not for me, its for my brother, he's always wanted one and he just got a promotion so he wanted me to help him order it,

And today he got the email saying its been sent, He Checked the the tracking Number with ups and it says its been shipped from china, so now he has this thought that he might need to pay an extra 300 400 in import taxes,

Does anyone have any experience ordering from alienware and it getting shipped from china?

  2. well you cant go wrong with sennheiser, i had the xb1000 very nice sounding headphones, i don't have experience with the velodyne but for the love of all things good in this world don't get the beats pro, true story a kitten dies every time someone buys beats headphones, I'm just joking beats are okay, but you can get 10 times the quality from over brands, personally i would go for the sennheisers,

  3. LOL you logic is failed. AMD offers better performance at every price point but you would buy nvidia and pay more for less peerormance. ? The nvidia draw less power metirc has been debunked and the nvidia is quiter is compleaty false and misleading LOL as it's on a per cooling solution basis.

Look i have tried to talk to you like a mature person, I have not bashed you or AMD, Yet you have bashed Nvidia and me, I am done talking with you, enjoy your amd card,

Because in the end its just about the games, Not the Graphics cards,

  4. At each price point AMD out does nvidia so you are recomending AMD over nvidia because AMD offers better performance at each price point plus the game budles.

yeah i recommend amd if you are on a strict budget and want the most fps per $, However if you have the budget to buy the equivalent power from nvidia i would recommend that, As nvidia does tend to run a little cooler, Quieter and draws less power, And just so you know the only reason i went nvidia over amd this gen is because i actively use cuda almost everyday

  5. I guess he'd taken issue with your brief post saying that 4 AMD GPU's died while none on nVidia side......you'd not bothered to expound, leaving readers the conclusion that AMD cards are bad in general. Not saying you are, but that's the kind of comments that nV fanboys would make. When he asked about it, then you'd responded with the circumstances which led to their failing.

Or, perhaps he's one of those whose GPU fried due to a crap nV driver. Or, his nV GPU failed due to shoddy workmanship with the soldering, or just low quality solder  used.....who knows?

Well when i did the rma for the failed gpu's i was told it was general bad quality control, and for the record i love amd and i recommend amd gpus to people on a budget because price to performance its way better with amd and their never settle bundle is insane

  6. I trust the math over you.

You don't need to trust me, and you aren't even replaying to my post your just sticking with your fanboy response, i said i was green team because of xx, you jumped in and said xx is your own fault, without even knowing the details, i write a post back saying that i was not bashing amd and in fact i use amd, you reply saying that 3 gpus dying is not likely, i replayed with the details, and you just say i trust the math over you, i just want to ask you 1 question, what has nvidia ever done to you?

  7. It's the math that proves you are not telling the truth. Take a high fail rate AMD Radeon HD board partner like Powercolor even in say 1000 GPUs sold 4 fail cards would be extreemly high failer rate and for one person to recive 4 fail cards in a row in just mathimatically impropable and highly unlikly.

Not in a row, i had one fail, bought a Nvidia one built a amd system for a friend, got another nvidia got a amd card failed, built another amd system, stayed with nvidia for 4 generations and then this gen wanted to go amd again it was doa and now im back on nvidia, but also built a amd gaming rig for my brother this gen, i was just saying that i PERSONALLY have had bad luck with amd you calling me a lair and saying that it was my fault that my cards failed is immature and classic fanboy talk

  8. That's user error not AMDs fault.

1 All the AMD cards i had died within 1 month

    2 They were not overclocked

3 I don't blame AMD i think that i have just had bad luck with AMD, i have built rigs for friends with AMD cards and they are still working 3 years later so i don't think its my fault,

And by your picture and last comment i am guessing your a AMD fan, But personally i like NVIDIA, That doesn't mean we have to fight over which is better because its all up to preference at this point

  9. You should be fine for now, if you search on YouTube for "660ti sli 1440p" you can see people playing tomb raider 2013, bioshock infinite, bf3 and so on all on ultra, as for future games i think 2gb vram will be a problem at that resolution, and a 4gb 670 now or maybe a 780 if you have the budget later this year might be the best option,

    Hope this helped
