  1. lol I see your point now.
  2. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824116782&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID= Well the freesync monitor I want has a low end of 48hz so as long as I can manage above 48 frames with one card it seems I will be fine, thanks everyone!
  3. My expectations are no where near out of reach for this cards capabilities, 1080p at 60FPS on ultra settings is totally doable with one card.
  4. Well I bought the RX 480 to play at 60FPS 1080p max settings which it can definitely do, I just plan to eventually upgrade and grab a second RX 480 and figured at that point I would want a 144hz monitor. I just wanted to make sure if I buy this monitor before my second GPU, it will have no problems with just one card.
  5. I'm sure I wouldn't notice, but I just wanted to make sure if I was under 144FPS (which I will be with a single 480 sometimes) I wouldn't have any issues because of freesync.
  6. Well, I know that, but if I wanted to play on max settings and be under 144 FPS would there be an adverse effects?
  7. BTW RX 480 can easily do 144fps in CS GO and Minecraft.
  8. Yea I kinda figured freesync would stop any issues from occurring.
  9. Hey guys, Currently I have one RX 480 8GB and eventually plan on getting a second one to run crossfire. Once I have a second one I'm sure I would be able to take advantage of a 144hz monitor. However, would I experience tearing or other issues using just one RX 480 and a 144hz freesync monitor considering I'll amost never be at that FPS unless playing minecraft or CS or something. Thanks
  10. Yea I will probably just go with the same CPU just locked (so the i3 6600) which is 65W and can handle this cooler, considering this is a build mainly based around aesthetics.
  11. Yes I know and love the NH-l9i! Have used it in a few builds... just going for a chrome (silver) and black look with this build and this cooler popped. Thanks for the recommendation!
  12. Yea I knew that the TDP was 91W I had just read reviews of people using it effectively on "k" series processors and wanted to get a general consensus of what people thought. Oh well probably won't risk it although it would look darn sexy in the build.
  13. I don't plan to overclock it until the end of it's lifespan, which I will then get a custom water cooling loop. The answer to your question is in the initial post, for aesthetic purposes.
  14. Hey guys, I was looking to buy this CPU cooler based solely on aesthetics, however it says it can handle up to only a 70W CPU. However, do you think it would still adequately cool a i5 6600k at stock speeds? I feel like it must work at least as good as the stock intel CPU coolers, but what do you guys think? 15. Then tell him, I already know. I gave it to him as a secondary option.
  16. Not really asking your opinion, giving him options. I gave him an Nvidia option, and this is AMD's best card right now.

Also, I figured I'd let you pick out your own CPU cooler because that is mostly personal preference.
  18. that build is not for me lol, I'm recommending it
  19. upgrade path, plus it's still a cheap board with lots of features.

Also, if you want you could switch out for a stronger CPU and get an RX 480, which you can always grab a second one later on and run Crossfire.
  21. Hey guys, Wondering how to make a custom fan curve on the reference RX 480? Also I want to crank the fans so I get really low temperatures considering I don't care about noise, so what should I set the fans at? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  22. Would this answer change if I got a RX 480 8GB, or should I still go with the 75Hz monitor with freesync still.
  23. Interesting thought, but the onboard WiFi adapter definitely would not be as good as the one I linked. Also, it is an ITX board and I'd rather not go with an ITX board. But thanks for the suggestion!
