  1. Ahh thanks! The resolution matching for that case is okay. I am still worried about my good old 970 not being able to handle everything, but if I only game on 1 monitor extra monitors shouldn't be that big of a performance killer?
  2. Uhmm if I understand you correctly it's different than I have in my mind. I will hang the 1080p monitor above my piano, so I can read sheet music / chords etc from that monitor. I would like to prepare those in front of my PC, so that's why I'd like it to be a duplicate of the 1080 screen. That screen is also supposed to be wired to the PC. That's why I was talking about the splitter, that is needed since I have limited outputs on my GPU, so 3 outputs for ultrawide and 1 output for 1080p which will be splitted to an ultrawide and the 1080p screen. I could be misinterpreting you, could you please clarify?
  3. Do you think it will be okay performance wise? And also, will the splitting work?
  4. Dear all, I'm planning on buying 3 LG 29UM59-P's. These monitors have a 2560x1080 resolution. The thing is, I have another monitor which I want to be a duplicate of one of 3 new monitors, but the old one has a 1920x1080 resolution. This old monitor will only sometimes be turned on, so if the 2560 changes to 1920 temporarily when the other one is on I'm fine with that. I currently possess a 1080p HDMI splitter. Right now I'm thinking of wiring the 3 new monitors up with HDMI ports from my 970, and then one extra port to the splitter, which will output to the old and one of the new monitors. On that new monitor I would just switch between the inputs. Is this all possible (for clarification, attached is a drawing)? Then, is this all possible on a GTX 970, can that handle everything? I won't be doing any heavy gaming, and I if do it's only on 1 monitor. Thanks in advance!
  5. Thanks to all of you having filled in the survey!
  6. It depends on the answer to "Gaming / Programming / Hacking / Other". When you clicked the gaming button you will get this question, on the other 2 topics you won't. This is because with programming a very beefy computer isn't necessarily important.
  7. Thank you to all the people having filled it in so far, really helps me out!
  8. I get the confusion, what I was trying to say with it is wheter there are other things you like to do besides the topics covered in the survey. This could be something like building PCs / servers, server stuff whatever. I will change the question in the survey, thanks for telling me!
  9. Hello everyone, For my computer science course about BigData I need to do a survey. It would help me out if you were able to do this quick survey (max 5 minutes), that I can analyse after. Thanks a lot for your help! Link to survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeus6YHPIS-Hs2uYF-Vvsu-FyE9I7WPidfsCmYsYWSH0h6veg/viewform Extra info: This survey is about PCs, cameras and videos. It is mostly multiple choice so you can fill it in very quickly. No need to log in or do anything else, it is all anonymous. I will be analysing the results of this survey, and I will have to do a presentation about it. Hope you are able to take the time to fill it in! Greetings, R. Baauw (by the way I'm Dutch so my English might not be 100% correct)
  10. Added the Enthoo Pro choice
  11. Hello, What case do you prefer of the list and why? And do you have another case to add in that price region which would be great? R.B.
  12. Hello, I'm looking for a ~450 dollar CPU, which I will be using for rendering, creating VFX etc. I myself thought of getting the i7-5820k, is that the best option for me? Also, is an ASUS X99-A/USB 3.1 a solid choice? Thanks in advance, R. B.
