  1. I keep seeing rumors about Broadwell-K only being a 3-5% increase over Devil's Canyon. Do I really want to wait for that? It almost makes me want to cave in and get a Z97 platform. Neither AMD nor Intel are making this easy for me. >:(

      Broadwell also uses Z97.

The thing I'm mainly trying to get at is do I want to get Z97 and Devil's Canyon now, or get Z97 and Broadwell-K later? If the performance increase between Devil's Canyon and Broadwell really is as small as rumors claim, I may end up jumping ship to Intel. At the same time, I would hate to upgrade now and be see that AMD Zen ends up being amazing when it finally arrives in early 2016. My mind just keeps racing on this issue. :(

As I said before, I'd support you either way. Broadwell isn't even really meant to fully replace Haswell/Devil's Canyon, that would be Skylake, so...

  2. Doing an upgrade to Z97 now would be wasteful. My AMD 990FX platform still works fine. I'll just wait until AMD Zen or Intel Broadwell-K if I become impatient enough.

  3. To upgrade to Z97 now, or keep my 8350 and wait until Intel's or AMD's next platform. The struggle is real. :(
