  1. Interesting, thanks a lot! I didn't consider the 3080 for some reason, will look into it (main deciding factor is availability to be honest) and sadly I've been waiting since last year to buy a card, now that I have considerable personal projects (freelance work) I think it's a good time to invest on tools and squeeze all I can from what I end up getting.
  2. Context: Had to sell my 3070 FE last year, been using iGPU (5700G) ever since for gaming (actually not bad at all for what I usually play, but can't play certain other games I used to such as Overwatch and have been using another system for work) and I'm looking to buy either a 2080 Ti (as a 3D artist I can really appreciate the VRAM) or a 4060 Ti 16GB, my budget is anything at or under $450 and I'm not going AMD based on bad experiences.
  3. so i'm stuck between buying a used $650 evga ftw3 icx 1080 ti or a new $1250 evga 2080 ti i'm leaning more towards the 2080 ti as it is the more "futureproof" card and it's not that far from the "original" msrp, but i can't help but feel ripped off still, the thing is i need these for work (archviz) and miss gaming a lot (i recently sold my previous system and bought a ryzen 7 5700G in the meantime) what do you guys think?
  4. Ah yes, the cable management wasn't as good, but considering what he said about the cables at the back, I prefer the method he used. Still, if he's going so hard on covering stuff he could've done something else for the cables, haha. Did you watch the video?
  5. Yeah, the old one haha, damn that should be a very interesting video!!!
  6. Yes, I am aware lol, but it really doesn't look as clean as this one.
  7. Honestly, some of his projects are way too complicated and the reward is just not worth it IMO, but this one looks CLEAN as heck, I would love the LTT Team taking on this challenge.
  8. So long story short I've been reading on adjusting PPT on Ryzen for lower temperatures/power consumption at the expense of some power and I'm all up for it, since I have an SFF case and stock cooler (for now), I just can't find any clear guides on how to do it and what are some accepted values for my Ryzen 5 3600. Most I could find was to just enable ECO Mode in BIOS and well if I'm adjusting something in the BIOS I might aswell just go for the real thing and do some PPT value tweaking. Thanks in advance for the help!
  9. here: http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php edit: also yeah, +1 for repaste
  10. Ah!!! got it, thanks a lot!
  11. Can anyone help confirm my RAM is running at the advertised 3200Mhz? I went into the BIOS and enabled XMP but CPU-Z shows this:
  12. I've already got a Samsung CJ791 and peripherals, so no spending on that really. I don't see the point on getting a Quadro since I wont be really rendering super high quality archviz for a living, but I would like to be able to work and not get crashes/hiccups/slow performance overall. I had made a parts list earlier, but I'm not really sure if those are the "best" parts for what I want to do, maybe you guys can help me confirm on some of them so I don't make an uninformed purchase: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $166.99 @ Newegg CPU Cooler Noctua NH-L12S 55.44 CFM CPU Cooler $49.90 @ Amazon Motherboard Gigabyte B550I AORUS PRO AX Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard $179.99 @ B&H Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $139.99 @ Amazon Storage Sabrent Rocket Q 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $119.98 @ Amazon Video Card Sapphire Radeon RX 5700 XT 8 GB PULSE Video Card $399.99 @ Amazon Power Supply EVGA SuperNOVA GM 450 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular SFX Power Supply $98.56 @ Amazon Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1155.40 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-06-19 00:47 EDT-0400
  13. Looks like Ryzen 3600 is agreed upon as the best value here then, that's a start, I've seen the Ryzen 3600XT specs and I can't really justify waiting for it (or even getting it) for that small of a speed bump. Projects/files are not that big, but when you start building a portfolio they do get big. I will mainly use photoshop for post-render editing and adjustments, so not really BIG big files/pictures, but still would like a snappy experience.
  14. The pesos things doesn't really matter, I'm still going to do all my shopping in USD from Newegg or whatever store has the better prices in the US/Canada Yeah, I'm gonna get a Formd T1, if not I'm going for a Ghost S1 or an Ncase M1 V6. Also I'm a guy HAHA
