  1. Someone told me however if I get banned, they'll most likely blacklist my address and prevent me from placing anymore orders on Amazon. That's kind of my last resort I would like to go to.
  2. I ordered this (G533QS-DS76) laptop off a 3rd party seller on Amazon for a surprisingly good price. At first I was skeptical it had some very bad cosmetic damage but the description stated it was in new/unused condition. I got it for around $1700 before tax. Unboxed the packaging, seal for the laptop looks untouched. I setup Windows, do a clean install with my own USB with an ISO image of Windows 10. I used media creation tool to avoid all the ASUS bloatware as I always do for setting up PCs without a problem. I also found a redditor with the same exact problem as me here. After installing most of the software/drivers etc I noticed that the GPU is displaying a code error 43 message. Never seen this error before, did some google research and found out usually its just a bad driver issue what I came around. Did a DDU, reinstalled latest Nvidia mobile driver for the laptop for the 3080. Reboot, updated to the latest Windows 10 21H2 build same error... I've done everything that I know troubleshooting wise to try and fix this problem. I've listed everything I've already done below just incase someone suggests something I've already tried. Clean fresh reinstall of Windows 10 using media creation tool Tried latest and previous driver using Nvidia's advanced driver search, also tried earliest driver I could find for the GPU. Backed up VBIOS of the GPU using GPU-Z, flashed new VBIOS using NVFlash from the list on TechPowered up here: 1, 2, 3. GPU-Z identifies the GPU but some values are not being displayed.. the GPU even shows up in the BIOS oddly enough. Here's a screenshot of GPU-Z. Tried updating laptop BIOS and all drivers per ASUS's website support site here. After the drivers for the GPU, Nvidia control panel does not open at all either. Tried opening ASUS' armory crate app to see if the GPU is listed, shows the GPU but all core/memory clock speeds are 0 and fan speed shows 0 RPM. Geforce Experience always prompt to download / install latest driver even when I tried installing the latest one and rebooted. I contacted Amazon to return the laptop for a replacement or refund. Amazon support told me that per their policy they are not entitled to resolve the dispute with the seller since it was sold and shipped by them and is not under their responsibility. The seller told me their would be a 30% restocking fee per the items value. I thought that would be complete BS to send it back and they keep 30% of my money for a broken laptop when the description showed new/unused. Amazon support said even if I charged back with my bank my Amazon account would be closed and permanently banned. At this point I have no idea what to do but try and fix it my self or send it in to someone for repair but I really don't want to pay more than $500 to get it repaired. My only options seem to be self-repair, contact ASUS for any assistance, or 3rd party repair at this point. I appreciate any assistance, and would be willing to reward anyone who can help me fix this.
  3. What information are you basing it off that it doesn't support it? Does USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C not support video out?
  4. I'm currently trying to use a USB C to Display Port Video Adapter from Cable Matters to add an additional video display to my PC since I use 4 monitors, and also have a VR headset. It is tedious to swap them out when I'm not using my VR headset, so using an adapter is essential to me. I've thought about buying a Thunderbolt PCIE card but since I don't need that many ports I decided to stick with this route. I honestly might just go that route anyway since I can't find any answers or solutions to my issue and am willing to pay someone for any type of avail to lead me to some type of resolution. The issue that happens is when I plug the adapter into my motherboards USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C ports for the back IO and front panel IO ports (neither work) shows this error code message in device manager on Windows 10. Here is a list of things I've already done and specs. Specs: CPU: Intel i9-10900k Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS XII Hero Wi-Fi GPU: EVGA 3080 iCX RAM: Corsair DDR4 32GB 3600Mhz - Created a fresh dual boot Windows 10 OS using the media creation tool - Uninstall the drivers/reinstalling, rebooting PC, updating Windows 10 to the latest 20H2 build. - Tried my previous ASUS Maximus XI hero motherboard that I had laying around and get the same issue - Ordered a replacement from Cable Matters and another brand from StarTech off Amazon - Tried 3x multiple DisplayPort cables (all 1.2). I've ordered DisplayPort 1.4 cables but I think they are reverse compatible regardless I've been wanting to upgrade them. - Installed MEI drivers - Forced USB Type C power to be on in BIOS settings - Tried latest current beta, latest stable, and initial revision BIOS update versions. Tried clearing CMOS same issue. I'm sure it's nothing wrong with the adapter, I tested this on my Lenovo yoga laptop and it works perfectly fine to one of my monitors so I know the cable/adapter is not the problem and has to be something in relation with my motherboard. One thing I'm going to try is order a USB Type C to Type C cable and see If I'm able to transfer data from my Android phone between my computer to ensure the port is actually functional. Also something interesting I noted is that the Cable Matters USB-C 8K Video Adapter shows up in device manager here which tells me it's getting some type of connection. I'm just not really sure what the error code 43 means, I've tried googling it and seem to be getting not a uniform answer from what the actual issue is nor how to resolve it. Now I guess it is possible that my motherboard could just be defective I just find it really weird, that 2 motherboards have nearly the same exact issue.
  5. I cannot get the BIOS Flashback to work at all on my ASUS Maximus XI Hero motherboard. I recently updated my BIOS to version 1401. I've been having nothing but problems with this BIOS version tried reverting back to the factory default BIOS version and the previous one that I was on which was version 1302. When flashing back the light blinks 3 times, and stays lit and never turns off. I wait 2-3 minutes each time and in some cases 5 minutes. The light never goes off which it's suppose to do at least from what this guide that ASUS posted via here. I've tried the following for both BIOS versions I'm trying to revert to: Formatted USB to FAT16/FAT32 Used disk management on Windows and diskpart to clean and check for all partitions (none exist) and create a clean partition for FAT16/32 No other files but M11H.CAP Used BIOSRenamer and tried running as admin Used the USB BIOS Flashback port Cleared all settings to default Tried 3x USBs (USB 3.x, USB 2.0) Cleared CMOS Unplugged PSU power cable Unplugged all other USB storage devices Used EZ Flash Utility in the BIOS and get the message "Selected file not a proper BIOS!" for both BIOS versions as the original .CAP file downloaded from the driver/oem section as per my motherboard model. I've tried everything I can think of. The main reason I'm trying to downgrade is because the slow POST/BIOS boot times I get and BIOS freezes that sporadically happen. This was the error message I got "GPT header corruption". Full picture of the error code is here. I've also saw a thread of others having the same problem here too. The only solution I found to boot is by setting my boot options to Auto Recovery. I still have problems with my BIOS randomly freezing at boot still but it has helped with being able to boot into my OS now.
  6. So upon a little bit of investigating on google for an hour recently I've been having an issue with my steam client not loading anything besides my library. The steam store, etc and anything that is a website or URL does not load. I've done a bit of troubleshooting and I'll list off what I've already done. Funny thing is I can see it establishing a SSL handshake connection by checking the green lock so I know it's actually connecting to something. This is the only error I get in console on steam that I'm able to debug with I haven't checked deeper into any of the rest of the logs of steam yet. Blocking global navigation to: data:text/html,%3Cbody%3E%3C%2Fbody%3E Cleared steam cache/cookies Reinstalled steam client completely Deleted C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Steam\htmlcache completely Running steam://flushconfig run command. Add -no-cef-sandbox -console to the shortcut arguments of steam. System restored Windows 10 to a point where it was working. Running compatibility mode w/ administrator Opting into the beta version and opt-ing out to the stable release version. I've thought maybe it was a DNS or networking issue as well, and this isn't the case I don't believe it could be. It works fine on my one laptop when using steam. I've also recently tested on my PC that's having issues and can use big picture mode fine, and as well on the steam website. Seems some type of programming issue with the client myself or some type of configuration that is blocking it from loading. I've legit though of most things I can think of. No AV on my PC, turning off Windows Defender, no proxies/VPN, (I've also tried with a VPN to see if it would help), enabling scripting in inetcpl.cpl for Windows 10. I also checked my router, and saw it getting FIN_WAIT_2 states, for all of steams IPs (which are akami CDN hosted) in the client only on steam. This has been driving me nuts, and I don't think steam support is gonna be of any help this only started happening last night. A bit of googling and all I found were these results, I've checked most of the them with no actual solution that works for me. Google search 1, 2. Open to any helpful suggestions, to ease my sanity.
  7. Recently just upgraded my PC (just the motherboard and the case and soon the CPU). Just got finished putting everything together, and whenever the PC is booting it shutdowns after approx 10 seconds with the last Q-code showing 7F for a few seconds then abruptly shuts off after a few more seconds. I have linked a video and few pictures of my build, disregard some of the cable management please because I haven't begun any of it till I fix this issue first. I've tried putting in only 2 sticks of RAM, only 1, and changing DIMM slots. I've also tried resetting the CMOS battery, nothing. Tried booting without the GPU. Tried cleaning and blowing on the pins on the PSU, and the motherboard itself, and the pins on the cables too for any dust. My only last solution I can think of is to disconnect the CPU cooler and check the CPU of any bent pins. I'm 95% sure that's not the case, because I was sure of being very gentle and careful when seating it and matched the one corner with the yellow triangle with the dot that correlated with it on the motherboard CPU socket. Finally I tried resetting the BIOS flash (on the back of the mobo), and that didn't fix it either. Spent an hour troubleshooting and I got no other ideas. Specs of my PC: CPU: i7 6700k Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS IX Hero (WiFi-AC) RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 2666mhz AIO CPU Cooler: OriginPC AIO Cooler (from my old previous PC that I was given in a giveaway) GPU: EVGA 1080 Ti SC Case: Thermaltake View 91 PSU: Corsair RM1000 Gold+ Also I know the case is very big for a build this small, I plan on upgrading to soft-line liquid cooling throughout the whole build soon. Edit: Nevermind, realized that this board type (z390) does not support 6th gen processors. Now I'm just gonna wait until I get my new CPU.
  8. Right now I have a setup where my monitor's line in cable is connected to the front audio header of my case's mic in port since when I plug it into my motherboards audio ports there's to much static interference. I have my audio connected this way so I can hear the audio via my monitor which is connected to my console(s) and transmits the audio to my PC's headphones. Right now I've eliminated most of it lowering the volume on my monitor, and adding noise suppression but this wouldn't suffice for my preference. I'm wondering what do I need to eliminate the static coming from my motherboard completely? I've done some research but want to make sure 100% what I would need for an optimal audio experience. Do I need a DAC, sound card, or a USB to 3.5mm audio adapter? I don't know that much of audio devices and would like a list of recommendations of items to consider getting to eliminate as much interference as possible and for the best sound quality. Thanks.
  9. Can you post the full track trace via pastebin. Try reinstalling Java on your machine too. Also what does your allocated RAM usage look like when running? Try closing all programs and most services and see if any avail.
  10. Or it could simply just be a software issue that's causing problems. OP ask your friend to download and install adwcleaner and download FRST and post logs either here or via something like pastebin.
  11. I'm buying the ASUS ROG Strix 1080 Ti soon and was wondering if I need to install VRM heatsinks if I'm installing a AIO cooler for it. Specifically my setup is going to look like this: NZXT G12 Corsair H90 ASUS ROG Strix 1080 Ti I was researching a bit online and was told that I should install VRM heatsinks onto my GPU. Is it safe to install them with the backplate taken off and use it for this GPU? Are there any VRM heatsinks on this card or do I need to buy my own online and install them on it?
