RadSalacan got a reaction from Glenwing in Trying to set up 2 displays with new GPU
Yeah, I'll give the one I ordered a try. If it doesn't I'll probably honestly look into a new monitor if I need to spend that much on a dang adapter. Thanks for the help.

RadSalacan reacted to mariushm in I need help finding older drivers
SM Bus controller is related to chipset, it should be part of the chipset drivers. According to manual the motherboard uses nForce2 SPP (Ultra 400) northbridge and nForce 2 MCP-T (Deluxe Model)/MCP southbridge, so you should find the chipset drivers on nVIdia's site (legacy, chipsets etc) or any other motherboard with the same chipsets.
Try Drivers , Legacy , nForce 1/2 , select operating system and so on on nvidia.com website.
The network controllers ... see manual page 9, there's realtek 8201bl and broadcom ac101L ... the broadcom ones are n the website, if you can't find them listed for your particular OS, try downloading the ones for other OSes, the drivers may be in packages that are not just for the OS they're listed for.
The video card... that's nvidia.com ... go and download the one for that series...
Audio ... if it's not on Asus website, try nvidia.com , legacy , nforce audio or if that doesn't work, should be in nforce 1/2 chipset drivers ...
And again, if I may suggest... you could also simply find a motherboard that uses the same chipset combo but made by other manufacturer, and those drivers should work

RadSalacan got a reaction from Gargone77 in Most hated connector in a PC
I know it's not inside the computer, but I've always HATED DVI connectors. Any video connector that you have to screw in and hard connect to a device is TERRIBLE. So because of that I also hate VGA and the coaxial F connector. When HDMI and display port caught on and became more popular it was a godsend for me.

I know this might not really be a very good solution to your problem but I would recommend you get in touch with whoever owns the site and see if you can get permission to use a generator. That would solve ALL your problems.

RadSalacan reacted to Oshino Shinobu in Does Windows 10 play nice with SLi yet?
I'm having no issues with SLI and Windows 10. Been running it for a month or so. Did have an issue with the latest Nvidia drivers, but rolling back to the previous one fixed it.

RadSalacan reacted to ProKoN in Consensus on max safe voltage for a 4790K?
by stock he meant he left his voltage set to "auto" and doesnt realize his mainboard is dumping in more than stock voltage
leaving your voltage set to auto is not stock voltage, unless your multiplier is set to the default value.

I'm not sure if this is related or not but I installed core temp last night and got a virus from it. The virus was called Cinima plus so I would check for that, then again it might be something different.

RadSalacan reacted to iamdarkyoshi in SLI GTX 570 performance?
I paid 600 bucks for 128gb of ram, four solid states, two 3930k hexacore CPUs, two 1000w power supplies, two asrock motherboards, and two corsair cases and the GPUs. I think it was a worthy purchase. -
RadSalacan reacted to brandishwar in External HDD not getting recognized.
There are brackets that allow you to take an internal SATA port and convert it to an eSATA port. If you do this, there may be an option you'll need to enable in the BIOS so that tells the system to treat a specific internal SATA port as an eSATA port. It is absolutely necessary you enable this option as eSATA has different specifications around it than SATA. So if you're trying to use an external eSATA enclosure, you'll likely need to do that: find an eSATA bracket that goes into one of the expansion slots and plugs into one of the onboard SATA ports, then for whichever port you use, see if there is an option in the BIOS for declaring that port to be an eSATA port.

RadSalacan reacted to ESPclipse in Anyone know anything about car audio? Wanting to buy a new reciever.
check out sonicelectronix and crutchfield for good components instead of wasting money at best buy. Most of the work is researching compatibility, then a bit of handywork with screwdrivers and wrenches and whatnot.

RadSalacan reacted to Jaybird in Anyone know anything about car audio? Wanting to buy a new reciever.
I dont know your location but if you buy from crutchfield they will provide, the wiring harness and everything you will need, as well as instructions on how to install. if you are also confused they have live support you can hit up.

RadSalacan got a reaction from Nup in Should I play the waiting game?
I'm sure many of you are tired of answering this question but I'm a bit out of the loop so I need to ask it. Tax returns will be coming for me in a week or so and I'm wanting to do an upgrade on my rig. So what I want to know is: Should I get the 4790K and new mobo I've had my eye on? Or does it make sense to wait for the next round of CPUs/mobos? The big reason I ask is I have no idea how far along in the cycle we are right now and don't know when to expect the next release. All tips, advice, and insight are appreciated. Thanks.
