  1. I've been dreading thought for a while now, but I don't think Id need to uninstall the whole os, but I'll keep that in mind as a last resort
  2. I recently had an hdd failure and ever since life has been a pain in the arse, after some time of trying to make with what I had I bought Samsung evo 850 and a wd 2tb black. Installed windows 7, alas something is working, however, as one door opens another slams in your face, I installed the drivers for my motherboard (msi z97 gaming 5) after it had finished it asked me to reboot, as the task bar had disappeared I used the reset button on my case, the bios bit booted, I could access it as usual, but as soon as windows started loading my keyboard turned off and my mouse was unresponsive. I originally thought this was an os issue, until my mate told me to use a different keyboard, it had been nearly two weeks so I thought I'd give it a shot, I then had a eureka moment, I had an old ps2 cable keyboard (as opposed to a usb variant), plugged it in booted up and it works, I then realised it was a problem with the USB ports, logged in a proceeded to open up the msi cd app with keyboard shortcuts, only to have another door slam in my face as I couldn't operate the app with out a mouse, I could however access the individual files, this is where my knowledge and progress comes to a grinding halt as I have no idea what I'm looking for within these files pls help ps I wrote about this yesterday in the os section as I thought that was the issue, sorry
  3. Kinda managed to get around it, found an old keyboard that uses the round port end, it would seem that my usbs don't work, can't use the mouse unfortunately so accessing the msi drivers application with keyboard shortcuts is impossible. I can however access the files and setups with though I can't see anything related to usb 2.0, but I can find plenty of usb 3.0 files, but when I try installing some of them they require other bits so I've stopped for someone else to butt in before I brake something
  4. Thanx for the quick response but it doesn't help me too much, I've installed windows, I used my code, everything was fine, i logged into my os, got my msi drivers disk as I couldn't access the Internet till I'd installed the lan driver, it all went smoothly, after finishing all my driver that I thought were necessary, ie not chrome, toolbar, nortan etc, after rebooting I then couldn't access windows due to my keyboard and mouse turning themselves off, I could access safe mode but it wouldn't let me use the disk, saying that I didn't have admin permissions
  5. Last week my Hdd died, I tried spares but they were to no use, I decided to buy a new 2tb wd black for games and Samsung 120gb evo for the os, the installation went smoothly so after I decided to install my motherboards(msi z97 gaming 5) drivers on the cd it came with, after installing the basic ones it asked me to reboot, I pressed the reset button on my case as my task bar was nowhere to be seen, afterwards it rebooted, could access the bios, but when windows starts and gives me the login my keyboard turns off and my mouse is unresponsive. The reason I mention the bios is because it sometimes, when I reboot the keyboard would go off during the bios loading, I have a temp fix for that which is tricking the PC into thinking there's a hardware change by disconnecting a sata cable, that usually turns it back on, and yes I tried it with the os issue and no change, it's really odd and I don't know what to do, please help ps the os is windows 7 pro 64 bit
  6. It's been nearly a month I need some serious help
  7. Hi my grandad called me up the other day and said that he had an issue with his smart tv, he said that when he pressed the button to access his smart hub it didn't work, I thought it was just the batteries were running out or a loose connection. when I arrived to help I realised that it was something else: when I pressed the smart hub button instead of going to the apps page it went to the settings, I have no idea why that would happen and any help would be much apprechiated
  8. Hi recently my turtle beach x12s broke and I needed a new headset, I needed something that used a speaker jack and a mic jack for my custom audio setup, I also wanted to get a bit of an upgrade from the 2.1 headset, the first thing I found was a sades xpower 5.1 gaming headset. I bought it and when it arrived I realised it wasn't 5.1 and sounded tinny as heck. I spoke to friend who had a similar sades headset, he told me that he'd got a software with his, It reminded me of when I installed my new motherboard: z97 msi gaming 5, it came with an audio software called sound blaster cinema 2, however It wouldn't install, so I looked at some forums and found out how to download it from msi. after installing it it told me there was 'no supported audio device'. I looked further and when I clicked the settings button it told the same thing as before and closed the app. I looked at the original site and it advertised another headset, the fatality gaming headset. I sent the headset back and bought the fatality one hoping that if it is advertised with the product it would work. the headset arrived and I tried to use it with the soundblaster cinema 2 software and the same messege popped up. I looked at some other forums and found other people having similar issuse and tried installing a newer version: sound blaster cinema sbx pro studio. same messege, same problem. I don't know what to do any help would be very much appreciated
  9. my minds almost gone insane, for the past few months I've been trying to find a motherboard and cpu that will support my ram: ADATA XPG V2 16GB 2600MHZ. Iwas going to choose intel but looking at the prices it's far cheeper to go with AMD. i could go with lower frequencies but I want to be able to use what I've paid for. please help, my sanity levels have gone through the roof and I don't want give up.
