  1. I am a university student, and I am tired of paper. I am looking to get a tablet to take handwritten notes with in lectures and when doing assignments. I have been doing some research, and I would really like a tablet where I can use a stylus. I am left handed, and like to rest my hand, so palm rejection would be a big thing for me. Do you have any suggestions of tablets and styluses that would fit for me? The ones I have found are the Surface Pro and the IPad, but the Surface Pro is way too expensive and I want an Android or Windows product.
  2. I had one lying around, and it actually seems to do the trick! The windows stay in the same spot, though the screens blink twice now. That doesn't matter. Thanks for the help, and let's hope it stays this way
  3. You misunderstand. I have the TV connected at all times, I only turn it off and on with the remote. And setting the primary in Nvidia setting didn't help.
  4. Does the same go with a DP-port? does it also have to be kept "active"? If i get a HDMI-DP adapter, would it pose the same problem? The strange thing is this was not a problem on my GTX 780, before I recently upgraded.
  5. The primary screen, the middle one, is connected by a DVI port. The seconadry, the leftmost one, is an old monitor with a VGA connector, which i have connected with a DP-VGA adapter. The TV, the rightmost one, is connected with a HDMI. The middle (DVI) one is selected as primary in the Windows settings.
  6. I can see no extra setting which could solve my problem. I juggled the screens around and back to start, just to try to save the settings there. Now the windows on the primary monitor stays, but the windows on the secondary monitor still jumps to the right (which is the pirmary monitor).
  7. I have a TV connected to my PC. The TV is not always turned on when I use the computer, and i have two other monitors connected. When i turn the TV on, the other monitors blink as if i plugged a new monitor in, and all open windows move one screen to the right. I don't mind the blinking, but I have a few hardware monitoring programs and such open on one of the screens, and having to move all of them back every time is frustrating. Is there anyway to stop the windows from moving screens when i turn on the TV? I use a Windows 7 with a GTX 1080.
  8. I'm a part of a local theater group, and we want to digitize songs and sketches and make them public for the members. So I'm concidering a NAS setup. I don't intend to use a self-built setup like a linux system, but rather a setup like WD My Cloud or similar. I'm also thinking about making a simple user interface with Visual Studio for navigating and opening the videofiles. I own a domain name that fits. Would it be possible to link that domain name to the NAS? Or maybe even to that UI I mentioned (which would be a .exe file)? The domain is registered at Hover.com. Do you have any recommendations? Also, would there be any restrictions on how many people could access the files at the same time? Other than bandwidth limitations.
  9. I am moving out this August, and i will bring my pc. It is watercooled and the attached picture shows how it looks. There will be about a 10 hour drive. I will drain the loop, but i'm wondering if I also should take out the graphics card and put them in their own antistatic bags, or if that won't really be necessary since the tubes and mounting holds them in place. Also, if i lay it on its side unnder transport, it will be more stable, right? And it would be work and i'm lazy Thanks
  10. I wonder; will the motherboard "boot" without a cpu, gpu or ram plugged in? if i take it out and connect it to the psu, will the little speaker beep to signify a boot? There is no onboard graphics on the board
  11. So i plugged in the main power, cpu power and the pump into my old psu, which is a Corsair cx 430, and it's exactly the same. Nothing happens when I press the power button, and a green light on the motherboard. The motherboard gives of a faint, high pitch beeping sound when powered and it changes slighty when i hold in the power button. I fear more and more that the motherboard might be dead. Any mpre ideas?
  12. It's weird, the psu has been able to power everything and with two 780s in sli no problem. I'm still waiting for the second waterblock. Could it be the pump was the last straw? I wouldn't think so since i only have one 780 in now. And it ran a couple of days before it crashed. I will try with the psu from my old computer when i get home, but that's quite a smaller one. Is it just a coincidence that it died right after i rebuildt it, or could it have caused it somehow?
  13. So, i might have a problem. Last week i rebuildt my computer to a watercooled system. Last friday i booted it up for the first time, and it worked perfectly. And it continued working until today. It simply shut down. I was rendering a video in Pinnacle Studio 17 and browsing the net when it happened. MSI Afterburner never showed the cpu cores og the gpu above 50 C during the rendering. Here are the the facts: When i unplug everything, the power supply still runs, so i dont think it's broken. There is a green light on the motherboard and a light at the the ethernet port, so it gets power. I see no signs of leaks anywhere. I have tried removing the graphics card, but still nothing happens. I have tried shorting the power button pins, and it doesn't work either. MSI Afterburner never showed temps higher than 60 C, so it shouldn't be an instant overheat. After the first crash it booted up to the login screen and then shut down again. Not been able to boot since. My rig: Case - Cooler Master HAF 912 Plus Midi Tower Power Supply - Silver Power SP-S850 850W PSU Motherboard - ASUS P9X79 LE, Socket-2011 CPU - Intel® Core i7-3820 Processor (Socket-LGA2011, Quad Core, 3.6GHz, 10MB, 130W) RAM - Crucial DDR3 BallistiX Sport 16GB KIT Graphics Card - GeForce GTX 780 3GB In short, nothing happens when i press the power button I'm not at the computer until tomorrow, but do you have any idea what might be causing this? Have the motherboard shorted somehow? Is there something else i should try? *Insert clever questions here*
  14. Thanks. That's what i wanted to know. Then I'll go for the left diagram
