  1. DX12 will supposedly be much more efficient at utilizing cpu/multiple threads to help perform gaming performance.

How much of a boost would you get from upgrading from a 4690k to a 6700k? it's expensive, as i would need new ram and a motherboard aswell.

I could go for this if i would get significant better performance.

  2. I got the xb270hu 1 week ago. i have no dead pixels or any noticeable backlightbleed (unless i look for it with black screen and brightness way up in a dark room).

The site i ordered it from has a ''45 days no questions-asked'' return policy. I'm gonna use this screen another month and then definitely order the X34 if it's not slaughtered in reviews.

@dreamhack you only get 83cm of desk-space. this monitor will take up all of that allmost xD.

So hyped about this monitor. If it turns out to be 75hz after all i won't get it though.

  3. I'm moving to 5760x1080p 144hz, from a single 1080p 144hz monitor. and my single 980ti in a mitx won't be able to cut it. So, i've ordered a haf xb case. another 980ti, and a new motherboard. When it arrives in a week i'll build and post pics :).

I have a concern though. The HAF XB supports PSU's up to 180mm. Mine is 190mm. I've seen pics of people putting larger psu's in there. but having to remove the hot-swap thingy to make it fit. i'll just hope for the best.

This is what it will contain when it is finished:

Case:                        HAF XB evo (window, not mesh on top)

    storage:                    2x240gb SSD's in raid, a single 120gb ssd. and a 3TB HDD

PSU     :                    Cooler master v1200, 1200w plut platinum PSU

GPU    :                     2x MSI gtx 980 ti gaming 6g in SLI

    RAM    :                    4x4 gb 2400mhz hyperx Savage.

    Motherboard:           Asus z97-pro gamer

    CPU:                        i5 4690k

CPU cooler:             Fractal design kelvin s24, 240mm AIO

    A dvd writer

Some red LED's (because fancy leds makes your computor go faster)

i'll be using noctua NT-h1 cooling paste and in the future paint the case abit more red.

Here is the link to the build i did of the MITX a few weeks ago i'll be salvaging parts from:

    Wish me luck :).

  4. Oh wow, good planning product design team if those are the stock fans :L

    It is stock :P.

what?, oh ffs. really, you make a post about the fact that you have seen a swastika shape in something. That shape appears all over the place without anyone meaning for it to, or for it to have a negative connotation (look at at least 70% off crosswords). If it isn't that shape in black in a white circle, on a red background I honestly don't think we should care about it.

It's not offending me. But i see what you mean,. i just thought it was kinda funny :P .

  5. I wish fractal would start selling their AIOs in NA...

I was unaware they didn't. If you think about getting it though. Mine made a weird pump-noise when i ran the fan-header it was connected to at 100%. turning it to 85% allmost removed the noise entirely. hope i don't wreck it because of it though :P. cpu is running very cool still, so it must still be working.

  6. i'm wondering about this myself. Just got my msi 980ti 6g. and i allready have a 1080p 144hz, and i'm wondering if i want to spend the money to buy 2 more of the same monitor. I'm tempted, but there's no point if i get lower then 70-80fps (i don't mind turning down the graphics abit)

  7. Hey folx. Last Dreamhack i didn't bring my PC. it was 5 months old, but it was an x99 midi-tower. So it was large, and hard to carry with me. So i played on a craptop the entire LAN. That sucked. So i decided i wanted an M-itx pc. Inspired by linusmediagroup videos :)
    The pc i sold had
    5820k
    4x4gb ddr4 2133mhz crucial memory
    2 gtx 970's.
    1 240gb SSD

    1 120gb SSD

    3+2tb Hdd.
    etc...
    Here's a picture of it

I sold it for 15000 NOK (which is about 1900$ USD).

So, i salvaged the 3tb hdd, and one 120gb ssd. and ordered these beauties:

    Case,             Corsair graphite 380t (black)
    PSU,               cooler master g750. bronze

    Motherboard, Asus z97i-plus Mitx
    RAM.              2x4GB hyperx 2400mhz
    CPU,               intel i5 4690k
GPU,              MSI gtx 980ti 6g gaming

    storage,          2x240GB ssd's for RAID0

cpu cooler,     fractal design kelvin s24, 240mm AIO cooler

and a strip of fancy red LED's. (not installed yet though)

    Things started to arrive:

And then it was time to start building.

Length wise. This gpu should fit. But i forgot to check height clearence. Hoped it would fit :P.

    And so it did :D

Well. that's my build :).. I had to learn how to make a usb-drive into a windows install disk. but it turned out well. Now i can carry it with me anywhere.

It ended up costing me 16100 NOK. (2015$ USD). but, i sold used, and bought new. and since i just game, it performs at least as well.
    Color me proud ^_^ <3

  8. I might be of help. i Just sold my x99 tower. with a 5820k and 2 gtx 970's.
For an M-itx case with a 4690k and an msi gtx 980ti 6g gaming.
The performance is pretty close, in some games the two 970's performed the same. in others  a single 980 ti is better.

I am playing on a single 144hz 1080p monitor though. if you have larger resolution, the 980 ti is prob way better because of the vram.

And, in the future, i can allways get a larger case, motherboard and another 980 ti :).
