  1. So I currently have a Cooler Master Elite 430, and I want something more portable. I'm currently have a FX-6350 as my CPU, so Mini itx isn't a option. Micro ATX is the smallest I can go. What I'm wanting to know, is how many of you are using a Micro-ATX case as a LAN or portable rig. I want to know how you like it, and how portable you would consider it to be. I could order a case and build my rig, but I want to know what you guys recommend, and are using. So here's my list of what I'm looking to get out of the case. -I want something extremely portable. Something that I can easily put in the back of my car and take to a buddies house. -It needs to fit a standard ATX power supply, not something smaller to fit the case size. -It needs to look nice -Obviously needs to fit a Micro-ATX motherboard -Needs to fit a good aftermarket cooler so I can overclock That's really all I want, so let me know what you guys recommend!
  2. @acsel Than if it's a good margin between the sets, I'd just get the Z623. Both are a pretty good set. I've not had the logitech, but from what I've read, they're pretty good. If the price is close, I'd spend a little extra and get the Klipsch ones though.
  3. I have the promedia speakers. They work pretty well, but I replaced the stock satellite speakers with some Yamaha NS-10M'S speakers. They sound better, and have a much more filling sound. Just keep in mind the bigger speakers you connect to the sub, the more power they will draw resulting in the sub being quieter. Even with the Yamaha speakers, the sub hits hard. I just keep the sub volume at the white dot on the control pod. Hope you find a good solution!
  4. I'll probably do that. I'll take the sub apart so it's built in. I don't mind sodering.
  5. @ShearMe Is there anything you know of that's cheaper? I'm wanting to add this sub to the TV for under 50$ including the cost of another amp.
  6. I just bought a cheap samsung subwoofer that I believe was part of a 5.1 surround setup for 4$ today at Goodwill. I hooked it up to a lepai amp I had, and it works great except it's getting a full blown signal without a crossover. Most sub's are set to go 60hz or below if I'm not mistaken. My question is how could I setup a crossover for cheap, so that the sub only gets the signals it's designed to play? Maybe something for the speaker wire itself, or something that I plug the RCA cables to before it goes to the amp? I'm really not sure what to do.
  7. Hey guys, I have a friend who is looking for a good pair of over the ear headphones due to the different shape of his inner ear. His budget is under 150$ and he is will be listening to all types of music. Most of the stuff I recommended to him was inner ear stuff, so that's why I'm seeking advise from you guys. Thanks!
  8. Buy a nice pair of tower speakers, and a Lepai lp 2020a+ amp. It will do extremely well for the money. just get the RCA out from your tv into the amp, and you're set. I got a pair of tower speakers at Goodwill not to long ago, (Fischer brand) and they sound great paired with the Lepai amp. I'd recommend turning the volume to half way on the amp, than control the volume with the remote to your tv. Make sure you turn the amp on after the tv gets powered, or your speakers will get a loud pop. Same goes with turning it off; do the amp, than the tv.
  9. I just put a really nice Pioneer head unit (single din) in my Jeep grand cherokee. I really like it. It's the DEHX6600BS model. After I bought my harness, dash kit, and antenna adapter, it ran me about 170$. Took me about 30 minutes to splice the wires, and connect it up. Bluetooth works great, looks nice, and has a microphone for phone calls. Lighting can be all white, or different colors. You can look it up online to see all the features, but I love it. As long as Bluetooth is enabled on my phone, it automatically connects when I turn the car on. I love it, highly recommend it.
  10. M50's, and when I'm doing stuff athletic; Apple earpods. My Jaybird Bluebuds X got chewed up by my cat.
  11. Get broforce. It's an amazing game, the campaign has pretty much no story to it, but it's so fun to play. All my friends that have played it love it.
  12. Although spending more on audio cables doesn't get you better sound quality, nothing annoys me more than a cheaply built cable. I can't stand it when they are cheap, glued together, piece of junk cables. I'll spend 2$ more to get a braided cable, or something like that. 500$ is way too expensive for a cable, but comparing a Monster HDMI cable to a cheap 5$ generic cable isn't going to get you better picture, but they will be better built, and more durable; I guarantee it. I won't spend double for a Monster cable, but I would say the difference in cable quality on my CM Storm keyboard, and a cheap 3$ mouse from Target is nowhere near close. I like better built cables for some things, but for speaker wire, and things like that, I could care less. And yes, I also realize more "Premium" audio cables do not improve quality, just looks and durability. So I'd just like to throw my two cents in this argument about more expensive cables. Not always are they a waste, but spending 495$ more for a USB cable is not justifiable.
  13. I'm thinking maybe a pair of decent headphones (With, or without a DAC.) If headphones aren't your thing, a decent set of speakers for a great gaming experience.
  14. What about audio? Do you have a good setup for that already?
  15. Sony MDR-7506 with a 10$ Clip on mic of your choice from Amazon. About the same price as those headphones, and about 25X better on sound quality.
