  1. As title says, did I just get really unlucky with silicone lottery? PBO limits disabled and All cores curve optimizer set to Negative (X570 Tomahawk WiFi, latest BIOS). I’ve started at offset of 30, but it crashed while logging to Windows. It actually finished Cinebench R20 with 25 offset, but would crash instantly in Doom Eternal. I’ve kept testing and so far managed to go down to 13. Stable in Doom after 30min. I have a suspicion it will crash eventually. Am I doing something wrong? Anyone else have had luck undervolting new ryzen cpu’s through PBO2? Any opinion appreciated!
  2. Here's a crazy thought, how about LTT stop releasing videos everyday, shoving whatever dumb and useless idea they have out there and instead upload few times a week, videos containing actually REAL content?
  3. When you're out of ideas but still need to make money. This video basically.
  4. I have i7 4790k, gtx 970, 16GB DDR3 and a 1080p/144Hz screen. System still performs really well and I don't plan to upgrade it for many years still. High/Ultra settings in every game at this resolution. I'd say save cash for now, as it would be a waste to spend it the way you want to do it.
  5. That's actually the main reason. With recent driver updates rx480 and gtx1060 are basically on par in dx11 titles. I guess OC capabilities would swing me towards nvidia card as well. R9 Fury is simply 'meh' in-my-opinion.
  6. I'd go with EVGA GTX 1060 FTW+ , just cos of EVGA. As long as their UK customer service is similar to the one they have in US. Which as far as I know, is similar and since November 2015, they even have UK based customer service center.
  7. Honestly, I'd go with i7 4790k and overclock. Unless of course you have enough cash to get newer Skylake platform, cos why not. Either way, I'd go with i7 over i5. That's coming from someone who's been using an i5 4690k (oc'd to 4,5GHz) for almost 1,5 year. Just for gaming it's fine, but try doing something else in the background, watching twitch etc. and the i5 will fall short.
  8. Noiseblocker eLoops are great radiator fans, silent too. They're pricey tho.
  9. Rig name: too heavy to move cube CPU: i5 4690k @4,5GHz GPU: GTX 970 Windforce 3x RAM: 16GB 1600MHz DDR3
  10. Just swap intake fan from top to bottom and you should be good. That's all in theory ofc.
  11. Your GPU hits 85°C under load? That's a bit toasty. I'd mount intake fans in the front and bottom (necessarily with a dust filter), that would nicely feed cool air for your gpu, with exhaust in the top and back. P.S. Mad MS Paint skills.
  12. I got Noiseblocker eLoop B12-P's for my h100i gtx. Whisper quiet fans, completely different world compared to stock Corsair fans.
  13. Literally 2 days ago I switched my stock h100i gtx fans for eLoops B12-P's. They are really great fans, whisper quiet even at high rpm. Only mounting screws were too long to go with the cooler, so had to use corsair ones. Was still able to use plastic washers tho (came with eLoops), so neither vibration nor noise is an issue anymore.
  14. Stock industrial NF-A14's I recently got, cost more here, than LTT edition ones. Thanks Norway.
  15. It's possible. Although it will most likely require a fair bit of tube management, to make it optimal and tidy.
  16. Unless they really screwed up with stock paste and its application (rarely happens), redoing it by yourself won't give you much. A couple of ° at most.
  17. I would go with both AIO coolers as back (EVGA kit) and top (Kraken x61) exhaust, with front being populated by intake fans. You will however fit most rads in the front of the case. Only issue you might have in the front, is when your card is extra long and you'd want to do extra thick rads or push/pull fan config.
  18. It seems like you need a Mystic Light app (acc. to MSI website available on PC, phone and tablet), to control the RGB. Couldn't find anything in the drivers directly related to mobo's RGB lights, the app seems to be the only way.
  19. My old GTX 460GS, used to artifact a lot in BF3. Temps were reaching 86+°C tho. Despite Nvidia claim, max GPU temp. to be 104°C, cleaning dust and reapplying thermal paste, did help with the issue.
  20. They are pricey, no doubt about that, but totally worth it. Switching from stock Corsair Air 540 fans (AF140L) to NF-A14 IPPC's, dropped my GPU's temp when overclocked by up to 8°C. That's pretty crazy imo.
  21. Indeed, If I was to buy a new case, Evolv would definitely be on top of my list. I actually considered it for a while, but I love my 540's airflow too much, to just switch it for the looks.
  22. I have a HDD, that has been bravely serving me for a lot of years now. However whirring and clicking noises it produces, definitely herald it's impending doom. Would love to replace it with an SSD, who wouldn't?
  23. I used to have Cooler Master Seidon 120V cooling my CPU. It always had (similar to your description) clicking noise coming from the pump, usually on the start up. Always thought it was just a CM pump thing.
