  1. Wow! Those Apu's are priced quite well. I am just gonna give it another week to decide I guess.
  2. Mostly Amazon and Newegg. The reason for going with a 80+ Gold PSU is because power is somehow unstable down here, wouldn't wanna risk anything frying up. And guys I looked up Ryzen reviews, won't I be sacrificing some gaming performance (Fps & all) for not going with Intel?
  3. I agree with you to be honest. Sometimes I think of just getting a gaming laptop like the Helios 300 which could ship to me for $1200. Its just the future proofing I'm concerned about, and Oh Lord! I really want to play PUBG and Fortnite (never played them).
  4. Hi guys. So this is my second time building a PC and I need help choosing between i5 8400 & i3 8100 Coffee Lake. I made tons of mistakes on my first build and won't like such to be repeated. Just moved from London to Abuja (Nigeria) so parts are very difficult to get/expensive. The i3 8100 will set me back $155 whereas the i5 8400 will cost $230 to be delivered to my doorstep. I understand the i5 is way better but my concern is there won't be any need to upgrade to an i7 8700k in the future (considering the z370 motherboard). And going with the i3 I might be stuck with a chip that may perform that well. So, I need some help and guidance here guys. I'll drop down my full parts list for some extra advice. Lastly, I will be using the PC for gaming mainly and then some moderate to mildly tasking video editing like my first build (which I sadly sold off due to moving away). [Note: Parts incurred shipping/duty fees to Nigeria from $50-$150 and budget is $1600] Asrock Z370 Extreme4: $195 Corsair Vengeance 3000mhz (8gb x 2): $245 Sapphire Nitro 8gb RX 480: $405 [Locally sourced] Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo: $65 Intel i5 8400 or i3 8100: $230 or $155 Samsung 850 evo 500gb: $212 Fractal Design Meshify C: $150 EVGA SuperNova 650 G3: $153 Total: $1655 or $1580 depending on CPU [First Build Just In case] Cpu: Intel i7 4790k GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97 UD5H-BK RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2x 8GB (1600mhz) CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i HDD: WD 1tb SSD: Crucial mx100 512GB Fans: Corsair SP140 Optical drive: Samsung DVD writer Case: Corsair 450D PSU: Corsair RM850
  5. Lovely cases but the pricing tho.
  6. Yeah, will just have to accept that I guess.
  7. Yeah, you're actually right. I just found some pc stores in Abuja, and discovered they had stuff like ssd, hdd, case fans and so many others. Unfortunately, there wasn't much in terms of graphics cards, gaming motherboards and CPUs. Only one store had a Nvidia Gt 630 at about four times the actual price.
  8. None taken. I agree with you 100% on that. Quite disappointing to be honest.
  9. Nigeria. I know duties cannot be avoided. I'm just looking for any other options in Africa or Asia where I can cut the cost.
  10. Hi guys, I'm new here and was wondering if there were any members of LTT community from Africa. I just moved here fews months back and its been very difficult for me to ship components to build my PC. At some point, a $47 dollar cooler-master case (at amazon/us) was about to cost me $174, which includes shipping and custom duties. In short, my $500-$1000 budget pc could possible go up to $3000 if I were to go with the only option I have. And so guys, if there is anyone who could help me with a site or how to get Pc parts at affordable rates over here, I'd really appreciate it. By the way, below are pictures of my lovely Pc that I had to part with due to moving away.
  11. I've reinstalled the game many times. My CPU and GPU are also not overclocked.
  12. Hi guys, I've built a decent Pc awhile back that enables me to play most AAA titles at high settings and decent frame rates. My major problem however, is that whenever I try to play Crisis 3, the game crashes and restarts my Pc. Does anyone have any solution for this problem? My Pc: i7 4790k Gtx 970 G1 Gaming Gigayte z97x-ud5h-bk 1tb hdd + 512 ssd 16gb corsair RAM h100i cooling windows 8.1 pro (now 10)
