So I normally buy either MSI or Gigabyte motherboards, and was actually "shopping" for a Z790 motherboard today. I noticed I can't get an MSI or Gigabyte DDR5 board. MSI boards are at least listed, but I don't think any (that I was looking at) were out yet. I didn't see any Gigabyte at all in any of my results. So while Gigabyte is listing boards, and I've seen some articles, when are these boards actually going to be out?

The only one with boards that you can actually buy is Asus, so I decided to wait.

thats great news - i mean we all knew that nvidia was pulling stunt like that just to gauge gamers to buy overpriced 4000 because crypto now gone is, insane - hope somebody can making dlss3 easy to use for all gamers similar like fsr
would also be great just how rtx 20/30 compares with dlss3 in contrast to 4080/4070 and below

I wouldn't mind picking one up just to have it if I get that in the budget. I expect the drivers for non-DX12 titles to still be crap, but that'll come with time. At least Intel was honest about that.

I really do hope they keep it up and by the time we get to Celestial or Druid, they become pretty strong competitors.

If nothing else it will help to put a dent into NVIDIA's "The era of cheap video cards is at an end" mindset.  Maybe NVIDIA will think twice about trying to price gouge the 4060 and 4070 if they know they've got more competition biting at their heels.

EVGA was the easiest to use, most consistent, often times longer (as of late has been 3 years) and is transferable, so you could buy on second hand market and know it was still covered.

I have dealt with MSI warranties and it... leaves a lot to be wanted as for the most part it has to be shipped overseas. asus used to be like that, but from my understanding has gotten better.

A crime against all life on earth more like, unless you can argue that was all green energy.

Pollution for profit is just downright evil and dumb, although this doesn't exactly fix that problem either.

I'm kinda surprised cryptocurrency hasn't been banned in most countries by now, given its value must be mostly thanks to how useful it is for money laundering and purchasing illegal items.  It was naive of the creators to ever thing it would merely be this great decentralised currency that bypasses government intervention.  But then currency in general is a bit of a weird concept to begin with if you really think about it, it only has value because we act like it does (which is why they thought they could get everyone to switch).

Verizon getting sued for not cutting off repeat infringer, what a surprise. The claimants complain about Verizon's implementation and demand actual or statutory damages along with compelling Verizon to implement repeat-infringer policy.

Here we go again,  the still out-of-touch media industry is going in for the easy money and force others to keep their outdated business model alive free of charge. To be honest service providers (ISPs', backbone providers, datacenters, etc) should get the same level of protection as the USPS because they essentially do the same thing, get packets from A to B, and occasionally store them as needed. They dont know whats in them nor is it their business to open them and take a peek inside. Furthermore the claimants say Verizon's implementation is unfair, yeah look who's talking. Demanding expensive AF measures while not willing to chip in....

Gotta agree with the aggravation of having to have a google account just to run your phone.  That is the biggest load of horse shit if ever I saw it.  The fact you can no longer buy a phone, computer or personal device and use it without having an account with some big corp is a sad reflection of how hopeless consumers are in general.

    Then adds:

Then, I'll put it on resume, look for another job and rinse and repeat before shit hits the fan, which I always hear about after I leave... guess I am THAT good, and no one can replace me, yea! Demonking reacted to AlTech in Google increases RAM and Storage Requirements for Android 13
Respectfully disgaree, Android Go's requirements are effectively a minimum requirement for Android devices in general.

If a device barely meets the requirements, it uses Android Go and if it comfortably meets the requirements then it uses standard Android.

As to this being only for really low end phones: Some of the devices that previously ran standard Android will now need to run Android Go. Older devices particularly running lineageOS are likely to be particularly affected by it unless the lineageOS project takes out the code that looks for these requirements.

Demonking reacted to PineyCreek in Google increases RAM and Storage Requirements for Android 13
13's kind of a minimalist update compared to prior version changes...finding this out actually makes me happy because it'll force manufacturers to increase their minimum standard.  It makes me sad on the other hand because those costs will likely be passed on to consumers and it makes it potentially more likely that people that cannot afford higher tier phones will continue to get outdated OSes.

I mean, we still haven't figured out with Android how to get timely updates through non-Google brand OEMs and then through various carriers who of course have to bundle and lock various crap applications in the updates.

My grip with it is that it encourages him to act like that because it's him, like a "get out of jail card", whatever he do is just Linus being Linus, this is a thing that shouldn't be encouraged, he isn't a kid anymore, he has to learn that he isn't the center of the universe and his acts has consequences.
