Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm not super worried about storage, more so the power usage and noise

tommy-b-10 reacted to Syntaxvgm in Apple goes 'full retard ' and puts a charge port on the bottom of the magic mouse 2
Physically it's no different than the MM 1, which was probably one of the worst mice I've ever used. I use mac with a full usb mac keyboard (pretty nice) and a different mouse
They could have made physical changes, allowing for a top charge port. Mouse needed a redesign anyway

Weird for only 6tb I'd think
Anyway it completed last night jumped from 50% to done haha. Now I have added another drive so it's doing it all over again much faster though

I believe reclaime can output just the files not the entire volume. What do you mean by any kind of writes?
EDIT: Just finished scanning using reclaime and I can access all of the files! So should all I have to do now is to get 2x 2tb drives and copy them in?
Thanks!

tommy-b-10 got a reaction from thekeemo in Raid 5 card and sata
In terms of raid cards, you can get cards with 2 sas cables which would allow you to only use one card for 2 raids. Have you looked into onboard raid on the board?

I have a Intel card, can't remember the model but it can do many different raids from p it, but you should definitely check the specs of whatever card your looking at. Just browse around and look up reviews

tommy-b-10 reacted to skywake in What switch for link aggregation?
My understanding was that the scenario as you've described isn't how Link Aggregation works. The whole point of it is to give "extra lanes" so that when multiple sources are talking they don't saturate a link. It's not about (and I suspect won't even deliver) better performance point-to-point. So unless you regularly have full gigabit saturation between your router and either your PC or your server and want to also maintain full speed between PC and server you're wasting your time.....
Typical scenarios for Link Aggregation are more along the lines of switch-to-switch connections or one server that gets hammered by a whole bunch of users. The end user's machine generally doesn't have much use for it. Particularly if there's only three sources of traffic on the network. Obligatory Linus video explanation:

Hey guys.
So I'm getting rid of my TV in the bedroom and was wondering what you would recommend in terms of a TV tuner card.
Im not looking to spend much at all.
