  1. Now that seems to be perfect, thanks!! Does anyone have any idea if it's actually decent?
  2. Hi all, Looking for recommendations on for a budget desktop DAC/Amp with a volume wheel to drive a pair of ATH-M50's. Preferably around 50-70 USD. Something similar to the Fiio K3 would be ideal I think. Cheers!
  3. I regret designing my desktop as a hackintosh. I have never used OSX on my desktop as its too much hassle and anything I need osx for I just use my macbook. Now I have had to go through and attempt to repartition my ssd which is a pain, and I bought more expensive parts for compatability.
  4. Anyone here want to do a few heists together on pc? Australians only. I keep getting put in lobbys with others with huge ping and its too annoying to play. IGN: tommyb10 cheers
  5. I highly recommend the plex app, makes it much easier/faster for mobile use and streaming to chromecast if you have one. If you want to make life easier for organising your tv shows, look into sick beard. It requires a bit of setup, but if you download to shows to a folder, it will take them, rename them and sort them into their own folders.
  6. Exactly, I built my i3 rework a year ago, and I still havent managed to get it working 100% yet, every 2nd print or so fails or the hot end gets clogged. I would have much rather end saved for the year and got a more expensive one haha. Isn't worth the time!
  7. with a $350 printer, you are going to have to spend alot of time constantly calibrating it and checking on it, whereas a ultimaker is generally pretty reliable. Most people with $350 printers have a success rate of 50% with their prints or lower! An Ultimaker is going to be better.
  8. I would but the product was discontinued in 2013, so I can guarantee that they will not be of any hel
  9. Hey guys! So I have my 10Gb network setup between 2 pc's and on a seperate subnet than my internet connection. PC ip = 192.168.1.5 Server = 192.168.1.10 NIC's are Intel® 82598EB 10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller over XF SR Now, It works fine, however each time my PC sleeps or reboots, I lose the connection between them and I need to go to network connections and disable then enable the nic on the pc. That fixes it and all is good again, however Im looking to find a solution so I don't need to do this Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? Cheers!!
  10. Considered buying one of these: http://www.amazon.com/HDE-Motherboard-Computer-Switch-Button/dp/B009CWY8PA?tag=linustechtips-20 You can disconnect your case button and plug this in, then extend the wire and run it to the top of your desk where they cannot reach it.
  11. They have a good social media team, especially on twitter. Why dont you tweet them?
  12. What type of cable outlets are we talking about? Internet coaxial cable? or Ethernet. If its coaxial for your internet modem, they will generally install if for you when you purchase a service from a provider, but they only do one because that's all you need. If you are talking about Ethernet, then you can either install it yourself (depending on where you live and if you are capable), or you can pay an electrician to install them throughout the house. It is up to the builder of a new house to decide whether or not they want Ethernet jacks installed.
  13. Yeah that's what I was thinking. I'm not super worried about storage, more so the power usage and noise
  14. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone thinks it work getting a Prolient DL380 G6 server for VMs and storage? I can get one with 16gb ram and 8 15k SAS drives for under $200 AUD so I was thinking of upgrading my existing server which is in my signature. I know I can't put my 3.5" drives in it but I can work something out for that. Main thing I am concerned about is power and noise. If I remember correctly the g4's are really power hungry. Cheers!
