  1. I think this is something good to do when you are thinking about purchasing or upgrading from something really old to moderately old or closer to new. Or just information about a specific feature and maybe about a specific product. Here are points on what we should expect to make searching for a video easier and getting the idea that is the video you are looking for. You can have a clicky name Disclaimer this is what I can think of as I'm typing Product Reviews/Showcase - At least have the Manufacture and the name of the product/product code with the word Review or Showcase towards the end of the title. This is important because when you are shopping around Amazon, Newegg, etc. I highlight the product name/product code and paste it on YouTube search. If the video title and/or thumbnail doesn't have the name of the product or it's blatantly obvious what it is anywhere other than deep into the description that doesn't show in the search results, you may end up selecting the video is reviewing a different product. Seeing the title "Best gaming monitor" or "Best 144 HZ HDR monitor" (hypothetical titles) it may go. "That's great that it is but what product is that about? Is it about the product I was looking for?" Using Screenshot because links can be dynamic when they update the name of the title. This is an example of a search result. More often then not, we can see this being a Super-Ultrawide monitor but is it a showcase, review, or impressions? If it is, Who was the brand and what is the product name? It's not easily found in the description from a search result perspective. The description just shows their sponsor of the video that has nothing to do with the video itself since that's on top of the description info. That's fine if that's an agreement from your sponsor which is why we need something on the Video title. In this case, it's two different brands and products. What do you think would be the best way to help people searching for information? Even if the product is bad, we need to know what the product is because we can go look at a product we will not know what the video entails as what it is reviewing. Vlog Videos: Keep it as it is, because it's nothing like an educational or informative type of content and more of a fun content. Experimental Videos: As long as the title explains what you're doing, that's fine and doesn't have anything to do with a specific product. However there are times where it's not so clear in the title and the thumbnail may have some indicator but this can slowly drift towards the direction of not understanding what the video may actually be about. The left video clearly says what this is doing The video on the right the Title itself doesn't say anything even though it shows three super-ultrawide monitors used for gaming, however because the thumbnail is pretty photoshopped. To even a general video searcher, this can get perceived as a "oh another Triple monitor gaming video" or " oh another Triple ultrawide gaming video" and not a "Triple super-ultrawide gaming video" Product Features: Mostly on Techquickie, I feel like it's slowly moving away from what the video is actually about This title itself isn't clear at all. The thumbnail may give you some idea but we're not exactly sure. What you can do about it is you can keep the clicky title but towards the end of the title you can add what you used to do by saying thing like "File Extensions Explained" Here is another one, There's three videos shown and the middle one is the only one that you have no idea what it could possibly be about. The thumbnail itself also doesn't really give you an idea what it is even about. The ones next to it before and after that video was released, it's very clear what the video is about just by the title itself. To even some of the more kinda techie enthusiast can understand that this is possibly talking about SSD speed and the marketing behind it. To the general viewer who may want information, just having the title "The Marketing Is a LIE" with a what appears to be a computer component with the word Speed on it with some comet flare effect added to it. May not know what this video is going to be talking about. The one on the right about the Blackberry's downfall is pretty clear that it's about the Blackberry's downfall. The one of the left can be a little more descriptive in the title. The Dumbest thing about USB has a potential to be extremely broad and the video is about USB3 name change you can possibly find a more attractive shorter title than what I can offer but here's the foundation on what I can provide [RANT] The DUMBEST Thing About USB3 | Marketing change explained [RANT] The DUMBEST Thing About USB3 | Name change explained I think there's a lesson to be learned (I surely learned something just by typing this) when the channel is about helping consumers make product buying decisions, informing about specific things, or experiments done. Because I don't think the channel is strictly for entertainment purpose only. Channel Super Fun can have strictly clicky titles though since it's all for fun.
  2. I understand things are always bottlenecked. I want to know what are the symptoms. Like pretend you get a vastly overpowered GPU with far margin weak CPU. What are the symptoms in every aspect and vice versa.
  3. I always wondered what are signs to look for when you're playing a game or rendering something or anything that utilizes all three components on what to look for if one component is bottlenecking other components. What do these look like in terms of how it appears in games, streaming, possibly screenshots of how it appears in task manager, afterburner, hwmonitor, or any other monitoring software. Only if it will help the end user on what it looks for. Good CPU and GPU with bottlenecked RAM Good CPU and RAM with bottlenecked GPU Good RAM and GPU with bottlenecked CPU Good CPU with bottlenecked RAM and GPU Good RAM with bottlenecked CPU and GPU Good GPU with bottlenecked GPU and CPU or if it's better to be shown like Top component > Weaker Component > Worst Component CPU>GPU>RAM CPU>RAM>GPU GPU>CPU>RAM GPU>RAM>CPU RAM>CPU>GPU RAM>GPU>CPU I'm personally not affected by this but more a question out of curiosity Thanks
  4. I have a question After going through the forum for some time I take that as long as the DRAM type like DDR3 and DDR4, and Timing are matching there shouldn't be too much of a issue. Speed will end up using the slowest of the mix. It will not be a average of the mix. Brands can be different Memory Size can be different. So Hypothetically if I were to buy something like this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148982 Ballistix 4GB Single stick DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Timing 16-16-16 CAS Latency 16 Voltage 1.2V Then later decide to get something like this : https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233982 Corsair 8GB Single stick DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) Timing 16-16-16-39 CAS Latency 16 Voltage 1.2V Now here's the question about the Timing The former has 16-16-16 as a timing but the latter is using 16-16-16-39 Will something like this considered a match in timing or not?
  5. I really doubt it has anything to do with my storage drive. As I stated that it boots fully sometimes, and besides, I reformatted about 3 months ago.
  6. My rig: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/J-Sharpie/saved/#view=QMDTwP Here's the back story. A few weeks ago I noticed my computer had issues booting up into Windows. What happens is that during the Windows 10 load screen (after post with the dots spinning at the bottom middle of the screen) my main monitor would just shut off while my other two monitors (hooked up to the motherboard) would be on but a black screen back lit. I can hard reset but same thing happens. If I turn it off for maybe like 30 minutes and turn it back on it 'sometimes' boots as normal and run like normal. Keep in mind this doesn't happen all the time when I reset or poweron from an off state. Then this week. I noticed that my computer has a hard time getting past the post screen, I can't even push the UEFI or boot from keys but it'll stay in post for like a good 2-3 minutes then does that thing I stated earlier. Things I tested was to power off the PSU, unhook the power cord, reseat the RAM. Turn on and it 'sometimes' works but I really doubt that is the case because as I said before that the computer boots up normally sometimes. Any ideas? If you need additional information let me know.
  7. I think everyone should get a SSD because all the cumulative time wasted loading whether you're opening up a program, gaming, transferring files, or anything. It doesn't matter if you're a gamer or not, it all based upon saving time for people. After all time is our most valuable resource.
  8. Well regardless, this method doesn't answer my question. Some games like Assassin's Creed Syndicate, when using all of my cores will pretty much freeze other programs.
  9. Sorry but that is not what I want to do. Shadowplay and Dxtory's stream quality isn't great.
  10. Hi, I have a question regarding dual PC with my setup. Gaming: i5 4690k (OC to 4.2) 8GB DDR3 970GTX Win10 No sound card playing something like CSGO and other CPU intensive games. and streaming doesn't seem to like each other unless I turn off 1 cpu off my game. I end up losing frames of the game but the sacrifice is worth the stream otherwise I get "High Encoding". I know it's not my OBS settings because other games don't do this. I was contemplating on getting a external capture card anyways because I go to a friend's place and we want to start making recording of console gaming and I do not want to just bring my entire rig with an internal capture card with me every time. I have a laptop with: i7 4700MQ (it's 2.4) 32GB DDR3 770M GTX Win10 4 usb3.0 ports hdmi So I was thinking it would be a better option for me to run the stream off my laptop. I know getting a external card is a less desirable option due to passthrough lag. But I believe I can fix it with the sound offset options in OBS. Here is my Webcam and Audio setup to my gaming pc Zoom H1 microphone (USB) Astro Mixamp that's connected via USB with a 3.5 mm headphones going into the mixamp. c525 Webcam (USB). So my question is, do you think it's a better option for me to stream it off my laptop via CaptureCard? Whether or not if you think it's a better option or not, how would I go on about doing this? I say this because it'll take CPU stress off my gaming pc. Will require my microphone to stay connected in some way to my Gaming PC since I use it to talk to people ingame or my friends through other Voip services or talking in games like CSGO. So I'm guessing a mixer must come in. Will my Zoom H1 work with a USB to XLR cable and have the stereo sound working?. What other types of cable, adapters, and/or hardware will be required? Any additional information I require? Thanks!
  11. Yeah it's fine, thanks for letting me know. My case did come with 2 fans, one in the front and one in the back pretty much centimeters away from my CPU cooler. There's space for another front Fan and top of the case fan (again top of the case fan would be centimeters away from the CPU cooler) But now I'm concerned that my Turbo Boost isn't enabled on IETU. Does that mean it's not enabled at all?
  12. I don't think so? This is everything I have in my system. 2 SSD and 1 HDD http://pcpartpicker.com/p/nMKsFT I'm following that guide and my frequency is going up and down between 4.4 and 3.5 every 5 seconds and my Turbo Boost seems to be off and I don't know how to turn it back on.
