Both of my sisters have said funny things about computers..
When my one sister said she wanted a new notebook computer she was very adament about it being capable of "word processing"
I gave my other sibling my old desktop with a fresh install of windows but didnt install anything else or set it up all. She had a problem with it and explaned to me how she wasted a lot if time figuring out how to take the side panel off and press the reset button on the motherboard because it was lit up and this would fix the problem..

This is great I've never heard of those.

Though I wonder what the difference is between Superlux 681 and akg k240.  They look the same but different colors.  According to rtings review the 681s are better than k240

You can try superlux 681 and 668b for around $30 or $40.  They are cheap cheap.  Apparently, the highs sound kinda nasty but they become pretty good for the money if you use an Equalizer to lower the highs

Nice.  I really like arrma RCs.  They are really the hot thing thats out right now.  I've been eyeing one of the buggies.  The speed of these RCs is ridiculous.

Concerning your lipos it's entirely normal for lipo batteries to warm up or even get a little hot during use..    the main thing to look out for is never discharging below 3.3v per cell during running.  The esc has a built in low voltage cutoff to try to prevent this but careless running down your batteries can puff the lipos.   Also never charge a hot battery.  It has to cool first.    I would say it's unnecessary to hook up a capacitor battery system but I have seen some crazy speed runner guys hook up such crazy things.   They are very experienced though and not so concerned about ruining their toys.  The way I've seen it used is to give the esc a crazy high amperage boost kinda like a nitrous shot but even then it can make the RC impossible to control and it just sorta takes off like an airplane.    Often times they get free stuff to make YouTube videos and such..   it's not something I'd ever need to try.  Getting an RC to hit 100 mph is sorta serious business and a lofty goal for any hobby enthusiast.  Be careful friend.

All windows headsets the the same basic controller design.  The Odessey is great for a flight/racing setup where you don't care so much about the motion controllers but if you are looking to play Boneworks and other room scale games that fully use motion controls you have a couple options that aren't End of Life:

Lighthouse based tracking (more accurate tracking but more setup required)
    Valve Index
    HTC Vive Pro
    Pimax 5K 8K Series

Camera Tracking (less accurate tracking but much easier setup)
    Oculus Rift S
    HTC Cosmos

Realistically, unless you have a specific use case your trying to maximize (Widest FOV, Highest Resolution, Official Wireless) and are willing to accept noticeable downfalls in other areas to get it, you have 2 options.

    Valve Index ($1000 USD)
    Oculus Rift S ($400 USD)

For either of these your going to want a GTX 1070 or comparable GPU with an decently paired CPU and a Display Port output on your laptop.
Yes they will work on less, but this is a good point to aim for to play all games well.

For the Rift S, your going to want to know the distance between your pupils because it doesn't have a physical adjustment for this so if your eyes are to close together or far apart you may not have a good experience with it. Ideally and IPD of 63.5mm  with a +/- of 2 mm.  If you are closer to the 50's or the 70's then the Rift S might not be great for you.

I've omitted the Oculus Quest even though it has a physical IPD adjustment as you said you didn't want a standalone.  While it can connect to a PC with a Link Cable, some have reported the controller tracking felt slightly off compared to PC only headsets.

The nausea is going to be a problem in any game where your eyes say you're moving but your inner ear doesn't agree. The good news is you can generally build up a tolerance to that by stopping when you start to fell sick and coming back later.

Their are some leaks going around that Samsung has a new headset in the works with more cameras for tracking and hopefully better controls but nothing official yet.

That cooler is very high and I think it would look awesome in an R6.  It also has plenty of clearance for ram.

As you can see the cooler looks pretty massive in a midtower.   I have 8 stick of ram but you can only see 4.     I kinda like it.     I'm due for cpu/mobo upgrade .    The cooling performance is very good but I know it would be even better in a full tower.   Full tower just has a bit more room to get the air flowing through it..

Fractal has this cooler listed to fit the R6.    If I was is using the fractal case I'd want two 140mm intake fans.   Also at least two 140mm exhaust fans if that's possible for maximum whoosh!

youknow Ive been looking at the new TV's for awhile as well..  really, I like to game in the living room so I kept looking at the latency ratings on RTINGS website.  Now, I really dont want to mislead you or give bad advice so please take everything I say with a grain of salt.

But, personally I was impressed by the LG 65SK9000.. it just looked nice in the bestbuy when I looked at it.. the colors just really popped and I could see this thing did HDR.. very impressive..    the most important thing to me is that it got very low latency ratings on the RTINGS website.. again I dont even know if they're reliable.. but from what I saw in person it looked nice..   I guess I just want to find a nice TV that has good color and low latency for gaming.   I did manage to find a video that says the LG TV is terrible but it seems slightly sketchy because I saw this TV myself and it looked pretty nice in the best buy store.  I also looked at the samsung NU8000 but the colors looked so washed out on it.  I know its a fast TV and even supports freesync but the TV just didnt look good to me.  I knew I didnt want it as soon as I saw it.

I hope I at least added some food for thought on your next TV purchase.   I might go for one of those LG led TV's even though it seems they're moving more towards the OLED TVs lately.  I disagree with this guy in the video above but I havent had this TV in my possession to make my own determination.    IM pretty sure Im gonna fly for that SK9000 tho..

Matacks got a reaction from Rhaemond in Best Case to Buy? (Tecware M3 vs Tecware Nexus M)
to me the very nicest case out right now looks like the coolermaster H500M..  it just looks so sick the the tempered glass and RGB.. i love it.
heres a pauls hardware vid talking about doing a build with it.   I may get this for my next upgrade but im waiting for the new 7nm Ryzen chips to come out in July.   Im very psyched about those but also unsure if I can afford one.

The downside of this case is that it may not be that cheap..  I think its a little over $200 which is sorta ouch when considering the costs of the rest the build.. what youre really paying for here is the flash...  but that may be worth it.  as for strict cooling benchmarking tests, I dont know that cooler master always wins the very top numbers but I think, case benchmarking is a thing of the past anyway.  who really cares when your case looks that nice?  it has a bunch of huge fans on it so you know its going to keep the hardware cool.

Matacks got a reaction from TechyBen in I was tightening down the cooler and pop!
Does it tighten down with thumb screws?   It's probably fine.  As long as the screw isn't stripped and nothing appears obviously broken.  If the heasink was put on according to the directions you should be good.  If you're in doubt you could remove the heatsink and visually inspect for damage and install it a second time.

Motherboards may make scary creaky and popping noises as you screw them into the case as well.
