  1. Those look pretty neat with the leds. I like the 6 fan model.

I was tightening down the cooler and pop!

Does it tighten down with thumb screws? It's probably fine. As long as the screw isn't stripped and nothing appears obviously broken. If the heasink was put on according to the directions you should be good. If you're in doubt you could remove the heatsink and visually inspect for damage and install it a second time. Motherboards may make scary creaky and popping noises as you screw them into the case as well.

    USB wifi adapter

Well, if you can buy off eBay and have some time to wait you can get one for $1. They had nicer supposedly dual band ones for $9 as well. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F183027813230

    USB wifi adapter

10 or under? NETGEAR AC600 Dual Band Wi-Fi USB Mini Adapter (A6100) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00F6EL6O4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_bro6AbDZ07QEY That will work.
  5. I was also considering these and maybe trying to diy my own lapboard out of wood. I'm kinda leaning towards the roccat sova. It's just faster shipping. And ready to use. I'm kinda supposed to be on a no buy. But I also kinda need to game on the couch. Here are the other contenders. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F273154623482 G602 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4MQODC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_hMn6AbCMFZ8B4
  6. I already have an Xbox controller. It's great for a lot if games but just wasn't cutting it for FPS games That thing looks perfect! I may have to justify to myself a reason to purchase this... the cost of that really isn't bad compared to what you'd need to spend to hook something up yourself. I had been considering Logitech mice as well. Thanks for the recommendation!
  7. Hello, Im looking for a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse for gaming in the living room. I'm hoping it can connect to my laptop easily and planning on using my gaming laptop hooked up to the TV with HDMI.

Logitech G502 still worth it today?

I've had my g502 for several years now. It's even been banged around a lot and the sensor hasn't given up. It's a great mouse. The only issue I've had with mine is the profile switching doesn't exactly work in the Logitech software. Or I can't figure it out. I always have to switch the profiles manually.

    do stink bugs like computers?

My house gets invaded by these things. It's terrible. I just grab the vacuum and say goodbye. They usually stink in the vacuum so it does smell a little bit. Get a can of air freshener while you vacuum?

Cheap CPU For Streaming and Gaming!

I just wish it had an SSD though. Pcie SSD.

    Budget gaming laptop

Wait forza 3 is a PC game? Ok this is news. the Witcher series is known for being pretty demanding on hardware. I would just go for the best video card possible. Really nice gaming laptops have come down in price.. it's not exactly what I'd call cheap but it's a better picture than it was years ago at least for gaming laptops. Desktop GPUs though are a different story.

    MSI GS65

That laptop is very nice if you like the minimalist design .. Personally, I'd rather have a bit more horsepower.. I just saw thing .. MSI GE73VR Raider VR. Now.. that one is something else.. I tell you what.
  14. You should redo the thermal paste. Also take a spray can of air to the fan and heatsinks while it's taken apart. I use a vacuum cleaner too with the bristle brush attachment. You might want to buy a few sheets of silicone thermal pads that goes on the vrm chips. Its most likely 1mm or 2mm. Although I don't really know. If you have something like a digital caliper you may be able to measure the sheets after you remove the heatsinks.. But being that your laptop is only 3 year old the silicone sheets could be fine so replacing may not be necessary.. It's just they're very fragile when you remove the heatsinks so try not to damage or move them.
