  1. Currently rocking a Club3D R9 270 '14 series videocard which I planned to upgrade, I am planning on upgrading my whole system alltogether anyway since my AMD II 465 (quadcore) or whatever is quite outdated
  2. Yeah it's bad, especially if you've got those earbuds that make you not hear anything but the music. If you can't hear your fingers snapping you're definitely playing it too loud. Really, just teach yourself to have the volume lower, you'll get used to it and be less likely to have hearing problems later in life. The train I take is usually occupied with a guy that has his music so loud you'd think he played it through the speakers, yet he's wearing earbuds. The conductor once asked him to turn it down, he didnt even hear him.
  3. I dont want to share, I paid for the games, you make your own.

  5. Hey guys! I decided to try and mess with a cheapo USB Microscope from China. http://www.ebay.com/itm/50-500X-2MP-USB-8-LED-Light-Digital-Microscope-Endoscope-Camera-Magnifier-/161914847580 Few bucks and it arrived home, now here's the fun part. It has an adjustable LED ring around the webcam which I can turn brighter or dimmer with a little wheel on the cable, works fine. HOWEVER, this stupid camera just pumps up the gain or turns it lower once you mess with the light. This totally makes the thing obsolete. Now, this would produce a proper image if it wasn't for the fact that I need to stitch the pictures together in Photoshop, and the changing light conditions (which the bloody thing does itself) mess up the image. I tried finding software that allowed me to turn off Auto Iris and stuff, but no luck. It is recognized in Skype as a normal webcam and I do get settings which I can mess with, I can even turn off Gain alltogether, but it still pumps up the brightness regardless. I found some guy on Mac which did get it working, but obviously that little line of code doesnt work on Windows. Anything I can try to make this thing listen to me? Thanks in advance!
  6. Last week I tried to get an old PC running again, for some reason it didn't boot so I thought perhaps I should unplug the old 120GB harddrive which still uses molex... a spark followed and it never booted again.
  7. Well my nephew said the following; "I'm going to buy the HTC Vive or PS4 VR headset because then I don't have to upgrade, the Oculus is far too heavy for my PC" Well that's what you get for getting decent graphics and not wanting to puke you idiot.
  8. Any tips on videocards with analog ports on them? I found that the Nvidia fx 1700 is a good bet, anyone got experience? As a kid I hated old tech, but slowly I'm discovering the fun of analog stuff Experimented with an old portable TV hooked up to the modern TV, works a charm.
  9. And what does that look like, I currently have dual displays running off of that R9 270, adding a videocard with let's say S-video would just be another desktop but then projected on the thing I plug it in or does it not merge with the other 2 screens?
  10. Hi guys. I've got a Radeon R9 270 in my PC. I want a videocard with old outputs like VGA, S-VIDEO, perhaps composite and or coaxial or perhaps RCA (not sure if thats possible but you get the point) Can I just buy a card which is PCI Express too and plug that in next to the new videocard for everything else? Reason being is that I want to be able to hook up pheripherals like old TV's and what not. Thanks in advance!
  11. Not sure, the other camera is similar but the settings are the same, same codec, same bitrate, same resolution... restarting the camera seems to have helped though, will report back if it didn't fix it.
  12. It's Synology, my first encounter with a NAS. It has a very understandable OS type interface, it does show the RAM and CPU usage, but that doesn't go to 100% all the time either I don't think. EDIT: Looking at those percentages for a minute: CPU at around 22% usage, so I wouldn't think it's bottlenecking. RAM at 24% LAN at 780KB/s down and 74KB/s up, judging by that, those files aren't huge either.
  13. Hi guys. I have the Synology 212Sj and I wonder if it even is capable of recording 2 1080P IPcamera streams without problems. 1 camera records fine, the other plays smoothly via liveview (Hikvision) but the recorded file pauses for 2 seconds, then catches up in half a second and a second later does the same again. Would that be because of the NAS or am I doing something wrong? Synology 212SJ Hikvision 1080P streams X2 2 1TB hard disks at 7200rpm Powerline via 2 powerline adapter pairs, the liveview is smooth so I don't expect that to be the problem.
  14. Thanks for the answers guys. I know there's different groups and such, I don't think thats the problem. There's like 2 splitting pathways which on the second split it goes to some lights with that lightswitch between it, that's what he accidentily connected the camera and thus powerline adapter to. So it does get power, and I think it's the same group as the working socket... yet it fails to connect. It's purely that I don't understand why a power button would prevent "data" from flowing through, whilst otherwise it'd work fine over a cable, it's not like a switch blocks data rights? Bit weird.
  15. Hi guys. Was working on a powerline adapter that's supposed to connect my security camera. All in all I got someone to make a new outlet for me, turns out it couldn't connect with the powerline stuff, so I started to wonder why. As it turns out, there's a switch on the circuit that's supposed to turn off the lights outside, and he took the power that runs via that powerswitch. But my question is, why does that prevent a powerline network? It clearly gets power, but why not a signal?
  16. Yeah I'm not claiming they aren't selling, its just that you normally see 2 parties when something new comes out, the ones who say they don't buy it and the other quite significant part that say they do, just like there are pro and anti-mac users. With the Oculus I think they made the "mistake" of making such a good product that it automatically became expensive. Although it's what they should aim for, it comes with a price which puts too many people off if you ask me. 500 dollars would create that scenario I talked about, there'd be the "Well its a lot of money but I need this" and the "I have a minimum wage, y so expensive oculus :(" people, thats clearly not happening now.
  17. What has struck me is the following; I've barely seen any people saying they'll buy it anyway, in this thread about 4, with a huge number of people saying they wont buy it. I've also been on another tech-website (Tweakers) and I've only seen about 10 people who said they'd buy it. It's not like the typical "You guys are complaining ima buy it anyway" - really only a few people do that. I predict a bad start for VR... sadly.
  18. Is it worth the money? Probably. Is it too much for me? Yep. It's like saying "Well 30K for a 2nd hand Ferrari is cheap" Well yes, but I don't have 30K.
  19. Again, you're failing to point out which things he said are false. I'm not sure if it was in this interview, but the demonstrations that we saw on TV were mostly lead by extremists that saw an opportunity, not the civillians.
  20. Well I watched American Sniper... man what a 'murica movie. I've never seen so many American flags in a single movie, not even kidding. I don't suggest watching it.
  21. You're leaving parts out... He says how he still has the majority of the people's support. Of course he has people that dislike him, every country does. That's like saying "HEY OBAMA YOU GET THE F OUT OF HERE, THERE'S AT LEAST A 100K PEOPLE THAT DONT LIKE YOU" and then claiming he isn't listening to his people by having the majority of the support. All you're saying is "Well he's got an answer to the question but the interview is only 20 minutes long so that makes it false" - it doesn't make sense. If you think he's wrong on some arguments, come with facts instead of merely claiming he's a douche.
  22. You're being ignorant. Fine, me repeating the same thing over and over again won't convince you to educate yourself by watching the video. *sigh*
  23. Watch the video, he answers your claim.
