Hey everyone, im thinking about buying two more ssd's to add to my pc. I have a OCZ aglity 3 120gb ssd and i want to buy 2 more as i need the space. i have windows 8 installed but do i need to re install the operating system if i want to raid them all together to make 360gb?? and how do i set up a raid configuration for this. all i want is to put them all together to make one. i have never done a raid configuration before so some tips would be great. I have a ASUS Republic of Gamers HERO motherboard and a 4770k CPU. another issue related to this topic that i thought i might also add. i upgraded my HDD in my alienware m14x to a Sandisk SSD. I used a software called TODO BACKUP to clone the disks. the speed of the computer has not increased to the same speed of a regular ssd. im thinking its because i cloned the disk as the HDD was only 5400rpm. can i re optimise the OS for the ssd or somethin like that or do i again have to re install the operating system for the performance to really shine?? cheers guys

its something to do with the compatibility support module in the ROG uefi bios. which settings should i have them at? uefi and legacy oprom or what?

bought a rog hero today arrived tried to do a fresh install of windows 8 and i boot into the usb which the installer is on btw its a legit bought version of windows 8 and it comes up with all these bs messages on the page which asks which drive you want to install windows on. windows cannot be installed to this disk. the selected disk has an MBR partition table. on efi systems, windows can only be installed to gpt disks! WTF HELLP

im looking into getting a laptop for my HSC multimedia major work for grade 12 and i like the razer blade except it is sooo expensive here in australia $2k+!! so i found ibuypower had a laptop actually almost identical to the razer blade. downside is no ssd and its a tad thicker. i dont really want to spend AUD $2000 on a laptop cause we all know they dont last very long. i already have a sli gtx 680 rig so i dont need something too amazing. a gtx 765 or 770 is enough in a laptop. 8gb ram meh i can live with it but do you guys think its an ok deal? are they a good company? do you know any other slim like laptop similar to the razer blade thats under 2k? i dont plan on buying a MSI (my opinion is they are expensive and shitty) i dont mind getting a metabox or clevo laptop but i really want a RGB led keyboard! im really trying to find one and thats also why i like the ibuypower one. link is below to the ibuypower ultra thin http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Battalion_101_Ultra_Thin_M1771-1 cheers, Tom

yeah i guess but wouldnt it make sense to cool the liquid from the gpu's so the cpu can get cool liquid. thats why i bought 2 rads. if i go straight through gpu and then cpu then cool it all by the rads, the gpu's really only gets the cool water

ok so im watercooling both of my gtx 680's and cpu. i have a 360 rad and a 240 rad, a cylinder reservoir and seperate pump. i want to redo the layout because im buying new tubing as the old tubes have been stained from the dye in the water. the case is a bitfenix shinobi xl. so my current route is below. this picture was taken before the tubing got stained, it was the day i put it all together. its not the most economical layout and the tubing has too much slack in it i think. whats your guys opinion. the picture doesnt have my other 680 in it as i only got it a week ago. the route goes as following resevoir > pump > GPU (second tube coming off is a drain tube) > 360 Rad > CPU > 240 Rad > Reservoir yes im getting rid of that ugly looking fan on the 360 rad dont you worry haha 360 rad doesnt fit the other way around unless i put the fans under the top besel which requires a dremel which i kinda want to avoid. the fittings hit the io on the motherboard if i have it the other way around making it impossible to connect a tube to it. image of my rig is here: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/839/52fv.jpg/

look when i bought my first gtx 680 i was getting around 80fps so i was happy and then a week or so later i got this problem. it would still be on 40 fps on low but cause i put another 680 that doubled to 90 fps which is wrong. with two gtx 680's on the low setting i should be getting well over 100fps

did i mention my whole entire system is watercooled with waterblocks and everything so heat is not the issue. under full load they dont even make it to 50 degrees

so i just bought another gtx 680 to sli with my system and im still getting 40fps on bf3? WTF?? i get 55-70 fps on Highest max settings on crysis 3 apart from anostropic filtering at 2x but why is crysis running how it should with 2 680's yet bf3 does not? my specs: AMD phenom ii x6 1090t 3.2ghz sli gtx 680 (both are EVGA superclocked but one is a signature edition the other is not) 16gb vengeance ram 750 watt antec greenwatts psu gigabyte 990-fxa-ud3 128gb OCZ ssd im thinking my cpu is bottlenecking it and bf3 may not support the phenom but why does crysis 3? crysis is a waaay more graphically intensive game. so im thinking to upgrade to a 4770k which should do it but before i do it i need to know that this is the definate problem. its strange to see bf3 get lower fps than crysis 3. please help cheers.

when is it being released? they said in july if i can recall in the computex review video but its now september. is there something i havent heard cause i want to buy it. it says is advertisedfor $230 or somethin like that. is that the price or will it change?
