What are they trying to do? Quad-core is the past, the future and present is Multi-core. It even says that an i5 haswell beats and i7 haswell, they've straight up broken their scoring system.

I cannot figure out what's causing this. I have a Ryzen 7 3700x, ASRock Taichi x470, and 2x16gb Crucial Ballastix 3200mhz. When I run the memory at DOCP settings, the system crashes within a few minutes of startup, but if I run it at 2400mhz it's perfectly fine. Is it the memory or the motherboard causing this? I would just exchange one to check, but I bought all of this at a Microcenter 90 minutes away. Also I did check to see the memory was in the correct slots, and that it's running at the correct timings and voltage. It even crashes with everything else stock in the bios except the memory OC'd.

Loop order doesn't really matter:

I'd argue for the 2600x because you can overclock it with a motherboard as cheap as 60 USD, whereas you're looking at at least 100 USD for the 8600k. Although, if you're willing to pay 60 more for the 8600k, it will be up to 20% faster when overclocked than the 2600x when overclocked. You just have to decide if 20% is worth 60 dollars to you.

If you can sell it for ~70 usd, you could upgrade to an Audio Technica AT2020, and a Scarlett Solo Interface for about 200 usd in total. I'd recommend this, as an xlr condenser with a good interface will sound better than a usb any day.

Looking at upgrading form my current build (a 4 year old athlon ii x4 610e) and this would help alot with the cost of a new build.
