  1. I already own the gpu, cpu, and psu listed under "currently have parts" in my post. ill change that list title and change the post a bit to avoid confusion
  2. Thanks for taking the time to look at my post! I was finally able to buy a gpu, cpu, and psu, but now I need help picking the rest of the build since these parts were not in the original parts list I was recommended by BROB. Budget (including currency): $1,000.00 willing to adjust, not sure what the prices are. Country: united states Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: High end gaming/VR. Usually movie/youtube video streaming and gaming at the same time. Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Will be buying parts right away, assuming they're available. Currently have a 240hz 1080p LG monitor and a 720p Vizio for second. Will be upgrading to a 4k monitor in the near future. I already own the GPU, CPU, and PSU. Parts I have: CPU: i7-12700KF GPU: EVGA FTW3 Ultra Geforce RTX 3080TI PSU: EVGA 850W Gold What I'm missing: Motherboard with built in WI-FI and ethernet option (willing to use a WIFI card if necessary) RAM- 32G (2x16) not sure if all 4 slots being filled is a requirement. Storage- 2TB SSD (M.2 preferred) Cooling - Water preferred, willing to use air if it is indeed better Case - Nothing flashy, case will be temporary. Will be upgrading to either a wall mount or an open case style in the near future. Additional information: I have no idea how to flash bios or customize anything. If a bios flash may be necessary, please let me know so I can learn how to do it before getting the part. Also, if a support bracket for the GPU is necessary, please let me know too. Thank you!
  3. Hello everyone, Thanks for coming to help out with my second pc build. I don't know anything about part compatibilities and what's best, so I'm very happy this community exists! I tried to make this list as easy to read as possible. I believe I covered everything that is required for a build suggestion from you. If you find I am missing something, I will do my best to provide any additional information needed in a timely manner. I am very grateful that you're using your free time and PC knowledge to help me out with this! Thank you so much! 1. Budget: $2,000 can go over if needed to fulfill requirements. no NASA pc, just high end. 2. Country: United States 3. Games/programs/workloads: Strictly gaming, web browsing, and video streaming (netflix, youtube, discord, etc.) usually all at once. sometimes screen share games on discord. 4. Monitors Will use two monitors. currently have an LG 27GN750 as main monitor and a 720p Vizio monitor as second.* (see 7. Other Details) 5. Peripherals Will need windows 10 Home and a WiFi card. 6. Why are you upgrading? - To get back to a high end pc than will not require an upgrade for quite some years. - To play on ultra settings for current and future titles. 7. Other details: - Plan to buy all parts within the month of February if available. - * It is fine if build conflicts with monitors. - Peripherals can be excluded from budget amount. - Full tower preferred. not concerned with the look of case, just airflow. USB ports on front of case preferred but not required. - Prefer water cooling. - Prefer 32G ram. - Prefer 1-2TB SSD. Plan to put windows and non-gaming apps on current HDD, if that is not advised, then 2TB SSD is required.
  4. the compatibility mode for all my programs have changed and most of them dont work, the ones that do are extremely slow, most of them wont let me switch it back to windows 7. for example: internet explorer- right click>properties>compatibility windows server 2008 (service pack 1) how do i fix this? they should all be windows 7.
  5. I dont know what happened but now its back to normal. i dont know if it was just a temporary bug or if something failed to close causing that small square of usable desktop. its weird that it lasted that long.
  6. they were aligned to a grid. i disabled it just to show how they disappear once they move past that small square section
  7. its not showing on the post? its shows the pictures for me. theyre huge. just a few comments up
