  1. I just rebooted the system, device manager shows error core 43
  2. Yeah I did do a fresh install via usb. Unfortunately I can't test it on a different system. Are there any other possibilities of reviving it?
  3. At first it showed error code 43. Then I plugged it in to the secondary PCIE port and reinstalled the driver. Now it doesn't show error code 43 but still isn't detecting the driver
  4. i7 4790k GTX 760 16 gb dual channel Corsair vengeance ram 120 gb wd ssd 2 tb wd hdd Corsair vs 650 psu Z97d3h Mobo The system isn't over clocked.
  5. So was facing this issue on my pc where it would crash with in 5 mins of launching a game. So I read did some research turned out cleaning out the gpu could've helped. I cleaned it, plugged it back in but now the nvidia drivers are not being detected. I checked in the device manager, the pc is detecting the GPU, but the drivers aren't working. I reinstalled the drivers, didn't work. I've reinstalled windows, didn't work. The issue still persists.
  6. Damn those are pretty good odds, I had expected somewhere around 30%
  7. Sorry I forgot to mention, I'm from India and I bought this config a smidge over 1000$ converted from INR. So by that logic what percent of the price that I had paid should I get for this?
  8. I've owned a rig for a good period of 5 years. The configuration is i7 4790k with stock cooler, z 97 d3h gigabyte motherboard, Corsair vengeance 8gbx2 rams, GTX 760, Corsair 650w psu, cooler master k380 case and 500gb hdd. How much could I sell this for?
  9. Any idea what this could be about?
  10. Also I'm getting this issue where when I close any cpu heavy application, the clock speed still remains at max and the temperatures between 85-90°c. My windows power options are on Balanced mode, I even clocked the processor down to 3.1 ghz, tried lowering the voltage. Nothing worked. It kept running on 4.2 ghz or 3.1 ghz when I down clocked but it idles at the max limit, unless I open task manager, the moment I launch task manager the temperatures and the frequency start to rapidly drop.
  11. I already did that, didn't work at all. It idles at 45-55°c and in games it's usually 90-100°c
  12. I use an intel i7-4790k with the stock cooler and getting 100°c in games like forza horizon 4 and witcher 3. I'm looking for an upgrade. I'm confused which one would be a better Cooler Master Master air MA610p or Cooler Master Hyper 212 black edition. Both have the same price but the former has 2 fans with push pull configuration and the latter seems to have a bigger heatsink. Any recommendations?
  13. Is there a possibility that my heatsink fan is spinning in the wrong direction
  14. Wow, thanks I could probably buy a pair of hyper 212's for the price of a ML120
  15. I can give a shot to a new cooler. How about CM hyper 212 that was suggested in an earlier response for the given situation or should I be looking at liquid coolers? My case is a cooler master k380, with a fan slot at the back next to the io shield, one on the tempered glass window and one on the bottom, with a vent on the top. I've always had an exhaust fan config in the back the intake fan at the bottom, rest of the heat passes through the ventilator on the top
  16. Just checked, the fan is spinning and the heatsink is in place. It's tight enough that without the case I could lift the whole thing just by grabbing the fan.
  17. The fan mounts or the processor mount?
  18. About a couple months ago, I applied a new coat of thermal paste for the first time in 6 years. Before that the processor was idling at 60-65°c. After the application the idle temps came down to 45°c - 55°c depending on whether I'm using the air conditioning in my room or not. The only time temperatures would hit 90°c was when I was editing videos or playing forza horizon 4. Then I just didn't use the pc for a couple of weeks and now it's getting hot enough to fry an egg.
  19. I can't believe that these are idling temperatures, a month ago it was idling in 40°s. I'm really not comfortable with the process of delid, could this be resolved just by switching to a better cooler?
  20. I checked out lunis's video on this topic apparantly de-lidding doesn't make much of a difference
  21. I have a tube of mx4 by arctic, that's the one I used for the heatsink
  22. Do I need anything in particular for the whole process of detaching then reattaching the IHS plate?
  23. It's locked back into its place, what else is there to it?
  24. So I had been noticing some stutter and lag while gaming on my pc. Upon realising that it was due to the cpu heating up to 90°c, I disassembled the whole pc, cleaned everything up, give the processor a fresh dollop of thermal paste. Booted it up, downloaded an application named open hardware monitor to check the temperature. The pc booted up at 60°c and while I was just casually YouTubing it went up to 87°c. This is after the thermal paste and the cleaning of the whole system. PS, I've been using the Intel heatsink on there for the last 6 years.
