  7. So after some thought and careful planning, I decided to go with an Intel Core i7-4790k and the Asus Maximus VII Forumula Motherboard. Everything Else will be the same
  8. The reason I went with the 4460 is because I already have it.. My budgets only around $950 and I already purchased the ram and processor. For me, this is all I need.

  11. Hello, I am a low-silver player that recently had to purchase CS:GO on a different account, forcing me to start over. Anyways, I'd like to join a team, if any are looking for a low-silver player. I've been apart of eSports teams in the past, both playing and Managing. Please let me know if you'd be interested in having me on your team. My skype: amojoey14 Contact me there if you're interested. and yes, I do have a mic and the ability to record/live stream our matches.
  12. The Reason I don't provide the benchmarks is because I scrapped the GPU it came with to replace with one of my own. So if you were to buy this desktop, you may not have another GPU to replace it with. The CPU isn't necessarily locked. I've been able to take the cpu. For me, it's not all about the LEDs, i just didn't have the time to simply build the pc myself, and I thought I'd give Alienware a shot.
  13. So, Alienware, a company well-known in the pc gaming and building community for being overpriced, but is getting an Alienware system worth the extra money? Let's find out! Specifications of my X51: CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Ram: 16 GB DDR3-1600 MHz GPU: Nvidia gtx 740 or 745 (I have a different GPU in my system now) Storage: 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD Slot-loading Disk Drive (Some type of CD player with Write i belive) OS: Windows 8.1 64-Bit Price: idk over $1,000 is all I know. So now onto the actual review. To start, the build quality is decent. It could have been improved with a slightly harder plastic that doesn't have a cheap feeling to it. It's portable, being that it is meant to replace your home console. It's got at least 6 or 8 USB Ports, a SPDIF Digital input, Coaxial Digital, Gigabit ethernet, full audio support with front audio input. The case has LED lighting that could be WAYYY improved with custom Hex Code support, rather than the 20 options that it comes with. The upside however, is that you can program a specific lighting sequence to a game or program. The cooling of this system is actually pretty good. I've never actually felt my computer become very hot, and it's a rather quiet pc too. Onto the actual user experience that I had. When I first booted up my desktop, I noticed that there is a lot of bloatware. Among the Alieware software it comes pre-loaded with, there's just alot of useless things installed. That could be because my computer loaded with steam, origin, google chrome, plus other useful things such as skype and razer synapse. So who is this for exactly? Well, I feel as that it is for the traveling LAN player, as it is portable, lightweight, and quiet. I also feel that it would be a good entry level gaming pc for those looking to get into pc gaming. I personally enjoy the feel of the product, but actual user opinions may vary. Thank you for reading my review on the Alienware X51 Desktop, I hope that it has helped you on your choice on whether or not to buy the computer. Please lookout for a few more reviews throughout the week on other products.
