  1. I've pretty much been looking and have narrowed it down to the m40x and the CB-1 as well. Do you know which is better sounding? At about the same price, if they preform similarly in EDM, and gaming, I would prefer the m40x for the build. Also looked at the akg k 553 pro and I'm not sure if it's worth it without a removeable wire. It's $137 now, but it was on massdrop for $109 and probably would've been a good option then.
  2. Alright, here are my requirements for headphones: Around $100 USD, +20-30 is about fine, but it needs to be better than an alternative headphone around $100. I need to be able to wear it in public, so no amp/dac, (Will be listening on my S7 Edge, or through my motherboard's audio jack.) must be closed back. Full Sized Must be wired, or a mix of wired and wireless. Should have a neutral or slightly warm/bassy sound signature (I have really only have used 3 "real headphones", and I have tried both the ae2w's and the m40x's, and I love the m40x with the more neutral/bassy sound signature, which is why I'm saying this. However, for what I listen to, I'm not really sure if it's the best.) I will be listening to EDM, game, and listen to youtube on the headphones. Previously I had the m40x's, and am perfectly fine with getting them again, however I'd love to try something new. They are being sold at jet.com with a case for $81.97 once you use debit/no free returns and use code spring15, so if there is nothing better I think I may just get those. I've also been recommend on r/headphones the dt770 and the sennheiser urbanite xl. DT770s are much more expensive, but are they worth it? The urbanites are however $131 on amazon for the android model, but I don't really know if its worth it, as someone did say that the sound is a little worse than the m40x in their opinion, but just looks nicer. It does include a in-line mic, which is a nice addition. Microphone I'm looking to spend around $50, +20 is fine. I will be in an area with some background noise, so it shouldn't be picked up to well. It should be fine to use for gaming, as well as some more casual youtube work. I've previously had the modmic, either 4.0 or 3.0. I don't like it. The plastic thing near the front would immediately sound much worse to even stop working if you move it. The mute mic option moved to the middle all by itself sometimes. The magnet can only rotate the mic slightly, so it would only be near my glasses or near my chin. It wasn't amazing. For this reason, I think I will prefer a desktop mic. However, I will consider getting a new modmic if there is no other option. I've also heard of the snowball, but there was a mic comparison over at tek syndicate CRIT and Logan kinda seemed to make some claims about the snowball even though he wasn't testing it. Other Thoughts The Urbanites seem to include an adequate mic for gaming, as shown in this video, but is it better than m40x + modmic 4.0 for the same price? It seems like those may be the two options. Thanks! Edit: Sorry did something wrong, had pressed enter somewhere and it submitted the post before I was finished. Hopefully it makes since as I didn't proofread much.
  3. I would love to win this... This would be a much faster computer that I am going to build soon.
