I've heard some folks talking about buying an amplifier or some kind of sound-booster with this headset. Do you agree? And if yes, any tips? Thanks!

Good day everyone! I recently purchased the Logitech G633 gaming headset. So far, I don't like them. The sound isn't what I expected it to be, the extra features (7.1 Surround sound, or that other 'super comfortable for gaming' profile) are just crap to me, and I personally think they are overhyped. I also bought a Blue Yeti microphone, and since I don't use the microphone on the G633's anymore, I thought it might be a good idea to just get rid of the G633. Any recommendations for a new headset? Don't need all the fancy 'gaming' stuff, I just need good sound, so I can hear footsteps ingame, and listen to music as well from time to time. My budget is around 200 euros (/dollars), I've looked at the DT-770, DT990's and the ATH-M50X's. They aren't designed for gaming, but they sure as hell sound good (according to the community). About the DT990's: they are open-eared. Meaning that sound-leakage will be present. Is it so bad that my Blue Yeti will pick it up? Thanks in advance! -Rieend
