  1. @LinusTech I honestly hope this all results in bringing back early access to Floatplane videos, not because I actually care to see the videos, but I think it would be a HUGE benefit for you guys for us to see and critique the video prior to it being posted on YouTube. It would give time for the video to be Voiced Over or other fixes as mentioned without impacting the YouTube algorithm. Just my 2c.
  2. I think it would be funny if the guys did a video around this. I smell wankery! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000360622267.html
  3. I've seen things similar to this, but it is a software issue with the Windows App Store. You can try the built in Windows App Store Troubleshooter. If that does not work then I would recommend running Windows Tweaking Tool. When you run it, select the "Backup Tools" tab and do the Registry and System Restore ones. Then click on the "Repairs - Main" tab and open repairs. I would only check mark the Windows 8/10 app store ( #27.01) under the repair section. If that still does not work, then try # 27.02. If that still does not work then it could be a hardware issue. You can get the portable version from their site here: http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html
  4. Not everyone reads everything here. This guy had some concerns about the path this channel is going to take. This being a forum to be able to reach out to the channel creators and voice those concerns does deserve some respect. The fact this was done does aggravate me a bit. A simple acknowledge of his concerns and pointing him to one of the posts where you have discussed this before would have been more respectful than derailing his entire post. I understand the issues of content on both sides. I have been a bit bored of the content recently but am looking forward to the content I enjoy here forward (the 64 CPU that has 4 threads per CPU -- HOW?!). Just my two cents.
  5. Have you tried a different cable going to your monitor, maybe the <hdmi, dvi,dp> cable has gone bad?
  6. I think they are sold out in the US, but you can still get them from NCIX in Canada. Actually, sold out there too.
  7. Honestly have 3 different Corsair AiO coolers. The H55 would fit what you would need: Newegg. I have two of these that run in my server that has been running 24/7 for almost two years now.
  8. In the spirit of "testing the cheapest you can buy", have you thought about buying the 5 cheapest routers and then testing their speeds, range, etc? Found this gem while browsing Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000E7K2ZW/
  9. Updated to be proper news format
  10. Just got an email today with Comcast updating their terms of service. There are many questionable items listed. Source: https://www.xfinity.com/Corporate/Customers/Policies/additionalterms.html?rid=3820064855&mid=20170726_AdHoc_CM_RSA From Section 1: (Don't know why the have it listed in all caps) I do not know why they would need access into your computers or other devices, and for some reason to "fix" your service they see fit to void the warranty of a device, they do not have to pay the penalty, you do. This is just outrageous to put some of this in a ToS for internet. "Sir, I need to open your TV to make sure it is compatible with our service." Section 2 seems to allow Comcast (and in turn the TV agency's they own) to use any content you "publish, transmit, or distribute" over their network without having to pay for it. We keep the rights, but are not able to stop them from using it.
  11. Mice = Plural of Mouse Mics = Plural of Microphone You can right click on the speaker icon on the right side of the task bar and select Recording Devices. Then you "should" be able to right click on the proper device and set as default.
  12. Since you are booting, I would recommend either installing Samsung Magician or CrystalDiskMark and check your 850's health. If the smart data is not throwing up any errors I would be inclined to think it is the SATA interface on your laptop having issues. One thing to check is the amount of TB written to the drives. I from what I am reading you should be able to expect 700+ TB of data written depending on the capacity before problems arise. Samsung's warranty covers a minimum of 150 TBW or 10 years for the 128GB model. The EVO on the other hand lists a much lower wear tolerance. I am seeing 35TB/70TB for the 120GB/250GB respectively, but I did read some reports saying that is a conservative number. If you have not hit these limits, I highly doubt it is the SSD at fault. The only other thought is to try to boot it on another machine just after the issue shows up. The Windows 10 one will pretty much boot on anything, so you should be able to pop it in something else to try it. The Windows 8.1 might, but I really don't do many repairs to 8.1. To this day I have not had to work on a machine with a dead SSD, and I am hard pressed to think 2 on a system could die around the same time. Edit: Grammar
  13. That projector looks amazing. Would work great in my tiny apartment to get a nice big screen on one of my living room walls. Great short movie, that looked extremely well done, kudos.
  14. Followed! Forgot about that =P. We are needing a 2 Lav system with 2 Receivers. The sound board is at the edge of the choir loft. The rest of the sanctuary is all open with little to no interference issues and full line of sight. We have our Pastor and then sometimes we have a Vicar or Training Pastor also. The price my pastor shot was about $1,200 USD.
  15. We have been having issues at our church recently with our wireless microphone (lav) system. Seems that the model we have is no longer being serviced by Sennheiser due to the FCC restricting those bands that ours use. We currently have a set of EM1-C receivers and matching SK2-C transmitters. The antennas have degraded beyond use and we can't seem to get C band antennas anymore. The guys at Sennheiser said SK2-B antennas would work with those transmitters, but they don't have those in stock anymore. Looking online, doesn't seems like reputable places carry these antennas anymore either. With the issues locating parts, it may be time for us to just invest in a new system. We are looking for a dual lav mic system that would work over a 30-40 ft range. Receivers would have a LOS to the transmitters (on the hip). Any suggestions? I am one of two fairly tech savvy people at the church and would like things to "just work", haha. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
