  1. Will need a dedicated gpu. I looked at the node 202, just seems to bulk.
  2. Hi all. Need some recommendations for a itx case that can fit in carry on luggage. For my son when he flys up to see me he can take it home. I am considering the Dan a4 which I really like but at $350aud, was looking to see if there's anything else out there. Then there is finding the right bag.
  3. @WickedStarfish From what i found with a i5 9400f, decent mb plus wifi card, its only $120 difference to the ryzen 3600. Also at least with AMD he could upgrade later on, not like the dead socket of the intel
  4. @Herman Mcpootis That is what is available at my local store. Price wise its $1598. They didn't have the wifi card you suggested else would of went a MSI matx board and it. 5. @WickedStarfish selected 1 drive just to keep it simple for them. As for getting a gtx 1060, not many places stock them here and since the budget is decent will stick with a rtx 2060 or amd 5700 (hopefully aftermarket ones with better coolers come soon). PSU wise pcpartpicker didnt have the one from the store i will buy from, but its a Silverstone 650watt 80+ gold full modular for $110. @Herman Mcpootis was trying to keep the foot print of the system small. As for a pci-e wifi card plus motherboard is a little bit more than just getting the itx board unless i get a cheap tp-link wifi card (not a big fan of)
  6. @Herman Mcpootis reason for the itx board is for wifi, should of clarified that in original post. Also just using pcpartpicker for a general run down of parts, will depend on stores in my local area
  7. Hey all, looking at recommendations and thoughts on this system i'm going to build for a family friends son. They already have a monitor (assuming just 1080p) keyboard mouse. Was considering a intel 9400f to be a bit cheaper but can't beat the ryzen 5 3600.
  8. I could only find 40mm noctua 5v fans. If i can get larger 5v fans. I wonder if i could wire itto the cooler master controller the original fans are connected to.
  9. its for a laptop cooling stand, have a cooler master one with 3 80mm fans, but im pretty sure they are on there way out. so i wanted to put 2 120mm fans under it, but not sure how to power or control them. I know usb doesn;t have enough power to run them. just trying to fin other options.
  10. Hi, How would you go about running 2 120mm fans externally? either by usb or usb type c? would like a fan control? help would be appreciated
  11. I have a cooler master NotePal U2 laptop cooler pad. I wanted to run 2 120 or 140mm fans under it. As far as i know usb 3.0 doesn't have enough power to run fans, but not sure if usb type c can ? Question is. are there adapters or fan hub with a speed control that i could set up? maybe even a small power brick? need some help thanks
  12. well it hasn't crashed on those settings , not going to try anymore, temps are down which is good. as far as repasting, went to do it today but once again another screw has a stuffed head, so can't get it undone. that is the 2nd screw so far
  13. So I have the cpu core and cache offset voltage set to -125 and the turbo ratio set to 37 on all cores. does that seem ok? Just ran ark for 15mins and the cpu temp was around high 70's low 80's. I'm considering repasting as i have some Noctua Nt-h1 here.
  14. Will have a look in the morning. Actually have the n870ep.
  15. Hi, i just received my laptop for my son. Its a Metabox with a i7 8750h, 16gb ram, gtx 1060. I did a basic undervolt, it boosted to 3.9ghz and dropped the temps to around 80 degrees in fortnite but in Ark its high 90's. I need help with Throttlestop or can get the intel software. I just want the temps down as my son lives in another city so i can't be there to help if anything goes wrong. I don't mind if boost clocks are lower either. Any help would be appreciated.
  16. Im leaning towards the node 202 for its price. Bag wise looking at dj bags for mixers and that due to having padding
  17. Hey all. Need advice on a bag for either a node 202 or dan case. Need it for carry on luggage for flights. Preferably with enough room for a few set of clothes too. Also padded aswell. Thanks
  18. I'm running an Asus Tuf z270 mark 1, I have 4 Noctua 120mm industrial pwm fans running on the 4 chassis fan headers, but using the asus fan expert i can only set 3 of them to a fixed rpm, it wont let me change the 4th fan to fixed rpm. any help would be appreciated. Also running a corsair h100i v2 and the pump and fans aren't being detected in corsairs software
  19. I just checked the QVL same ram but different speed are supported except the 3400mhz. looks like ill sell the kit
  20. I just installed a set of g skill Trident z 3400mhz into an Asus TUF z270. i set the xmp profile and it won't boot. would like some help thanks
  21. Hi all, I have an original shield tablet for my son. He was using it yesterday and it would just switch off after a few minutes. I ended up doing a factory reset, So far its working when he plays minecraft and watches youtube. but when he tries to play other games it will turn off with no warning. I've searched and tried different things but it still persists. Also its not under warranty anymore.
  22. I'm looking to buy the Evga 1080 ti sc hybrid kit for my sc2 but Evga Don't post to Australia and they don't accept freight forwarding. Anyone know were I can get one?seems evga themselves are the only ones selling it
  23. Hi wondering if anyone has use Hop.shop.go freight forwarding? I want to order the evga 1080ti sc hybrid cooler, but they wont post to Australia and the only Freight forwarding company that address works is hop shop go. No one here is planning on getting it or have stopped selling evga products
  24. According to evga the kit doesn't work due to the extra sensors on the sc2. They also said they had no information if the separate kit will be released.
