TrinityHigh got a reaction from DoctorNick in linustechtips x Noctua Build (v1.5)
    Here is my ltt x Noctua build version 1.5. i9 9900K + RTX 3080 FTW3!

I upgraded my GPU, and went all M.2 storage leaving the raid HDDs behind. I will be looking to get another 3-4 years out of this system before doing a full upgrade.

I'm thinking about buying some Orange-Black-Grey. What do you think? Any suggestions for color patterns would be appreciated!

I've also been thinking about changing my CPU cooler for the Noctua NH-U12A chromax.black with LTT orange anti-vibration pads, and the chromax.black heatsink cover. I like the look of the NH-D15S, but feel it's too large for this smaller case.

I purchased many ltt fans from their first run of Noctua NF-F12s from 2016 I believe it was. So I transferred some LTT round plates and orange anti-vibration pads and placed them on the chromax line of fans.

    Temps:
    CPU idle: 34C
    CPU max: 94C (Cinebench)

    GPU idle: 60C
    GPU max: 83C (Heaven Benchmark)

Awesome. I will go with that. I will have two power bars coming down from my desk. One for PC, monitor, and router into surge + battery backup. The rest of my equipment into the surge protector like you said. Thanks!

Something like this should be more than enough for each system individually, you can set up to the larger 1000VA (600W) unit if you plan to use a lot of peripherals or high current devices and slightly longer run time.

Thanks! I was thinking about going back to NZXT but I couldn't leave my Define S. I personally do not like PSU shrouds lol. Temps below!

    CPU idle - 35 C
    CPU under load - 87 C
    GPU idle - 52 C
    GPU under load - 76 C

I thought the CPU and GPU temps would be higher but the temperature in my basement is pretty cold lol!

Cascade Lake-X. Some of the parts are "out", though availability is limited for a few more months. They're 100-200 Mhz faster due to having soldered dies.

If you want to do editing/gaming, wait for next gen high end Ryzen. You'll have a much better gaming experience that way, and very good video editing experience at that.

Ooooooooo... that's gorgeous. Thinking about selling some of my other rigs and making a 9900K setup myself, I'd have to use an NH-D15S to cool it though (sadly the Pro4, while gorgeous, doesn't fit in the case I wanna use, an S340 Elite). Lemme know how temps are though!

IC diamond is good and I used to use it without proper coverage on my CPU, it's good to check mounting pressure because it's very viscous, doesn't spread out easily.

That being said your next gpu upgrade will probably let the 9900k actually stretch it's legs.
